Pink Elephant in the Global Living Room

There is a curious parallelism between dysfunctional, alcoholic families and the present 'family of nations.' It's fascinating, perhaps illuminating, to contemplate those similarities.
In the 'classic' alcoholic family (as studied and described by R.D. Laing, and others) there exists a number of archetypical roles played by family members. Of course, the principal role goes to the alcoholic person (usually the father, sometimes the mother). This person is the source of all the dysfunction, the chaos, and the tragedy that characterizes an alcoholic family. He is typically a bully who turns to drink to unleash his pent-up self-loathing and anger. Everything revolves around this person, especially the roles of the other actors in the typical drama.

Next in importance is the 'enabler,' the person (or persons; there could be several) who facilitates the ongoing drama by making excuses for the alcoholic (“He just needs a break; he's really very nice when he's not drinking”) and by covering up his constant transgressions of normal behavior (“He's very tired, that's why he's sleeping so long”).

The enabler is a key reason why the prime characteristic of the alcoholic family is Denial, with a capital D! While other family members and outsiders may be aware of the alcoholic's true condition, the influence of the enabler is often as psychologically skillful as that of the alcoholic himself in perpetuating the ongoing denial of the truth.

Then we have the 'scape-goat,' who is usually one of the children, singled out for various reasons, as the 'cause' or the trigger for the alcoholic's bad behavior. (“He wouldn't have beat Mom and broken the TV if Bobby hadn't annoyed him.”) The scape-goat may be a child who stands up against the alcoholic, or perhaps, even reminds the latter of something in his own make-up.

Finally, there are the other victims; those who are directly or indirectly affected by the intolerable conduct of the alcoholic. Obviously, any children in the family are included, as are the siblings of the central person. But the circle of victims can extend quite wide, depending on the social circumstances of the family. The emotional scars, as well as physical, will usually exist for the lifetime of the victims, to a greater or lesser extent.

Now, clicking to the 'macro' level, and looking at the current family of nations, consider that we have one 'actor' (nation) that has been on a decades-long 'binge' of violence, attacking all kinds of relatively defenceless countries around the world, uttering threats to all, and ignoring all attempts at peaceful solution. All indicators of a classic alcoholic, or in fact, of a psychopath, since the alcoholic exhibits many signs of psychopathy and sociopathy.

I haven't named the country, hoping that you will have had an 'Aha!' moment, and deduced the obvious-- it's 'Uncle Sam,' who has always been a little over-bearing even before his 'problem' became clear. Let's say that his family is the 'Western world,' basically, the OECD nations; and they are firmly in denial of Uncle Sam's 'substance abuse.'

If you follow current events, you can discern the enablers in this drama-- Britain, France, Canada and Australia, (sadly), and a number of other, players. A prime instigator of Uncle Sam's aggressive demeanor is Israel, always goading and cajoling for another war for the US to plunge into. Thus, Israel is a primary enabler.

As for the scape-goat, this role is unwillingly played by the Muslim world. “Those Ay-rab terrorists are the reason we're taking away your freedoms!” Since the 1990s, Uncle Sam has been irate with various states in the Middle East, and in typical 'alcoholic' manner, uses any excuse for another stiff drink of 'the strong stuff' that intoxicates those who profit from the senseless wars.

The victims, besides the whole of the Arab/Muslim world, are all other nations. All but a few of the strongest nations are afraid to incur the ire of Uncle Sam, lest he lash out against them in another drunken rage. Thus they are forced to endure the ongoing pillage of their resources, and pretend to approve the supposed benevolent encumbrances of the USA (such as 'democracy' and 'free elections').

Outside Uncle Sam's 'family,' only a few nations dare call him out on his atrocious behavior and hypocrisy. The two biggest guys on the global block, Russia and China, have only lately been in a position to refuse to jump when Sam yells. Little Cuba has defied the USA for decades, and despite living so close, they have managed to keep their independence from his greedy grip. Venezuela and Bolivia have also found the courage to stand up to the neighborhood bully, even after he's pummelled them in the past.

But within the 'family,' denial still reigns supreme. For the OECD group to censure Uncle Sam, they would have to be prepared for the consequences of his anger, which would include economic, if not political affliction. Besides, many of them have been partakers, to some degree, of his binges in the 'Third World,' and would be condemning themselves.

In the micro-scale model of alcoholic dysfunction, there are only a few outcomes that are predictable in every case. In one outlook, the alcoholic eventually creates a crisis of such dimensions that people can no longer sustain the comfort of denial. He may have a serious accident (usually harming innocent victims), or often, may wake up in jail or in the hospital, as a result of actions taken in a drunken stupor.

In an alternate scenario, the alcoholic may 'hit rock bottom,' awakening from his last binge to realize that he has lost his family, his job, his friends, his self-respect; and finally accept that he must either change or his life is over.

Transcribing these options to the macrocosm, we can see that either scenario is entirely possible for our global psychopath, the USA. If certain 'insider' rumors hide genuine facts, Uncle Sam has come perilously close to triggering World War 3, over the engineered crisis in Syria. (War was only averted, the rumors claim, due to the refusal of sober-minded military brass to obey presidential commands... officers who have since been dismissed). If Israel succeeds in pushing Uncle Sam into another binge of violence, we may yet have our global crisis.

It appears that the other scenario, is already unfolding. Uncle Sam is finding that his bank account is hugely over-drawn (to the tune of trillions of dollars). He realizes that, apart from his partners in crime, he has lost all friends, and no-one wants to associate with him any more, unless bribed or coerced. Still, he hasn't hit bottom yet. In a last-ditch, desperation, Uncle Sam is as belligerent as ever, muttering threats to every scape-goat pointed out by his duplicitous enabler, Israel. Will Uncle Sam find sobriety? History and evidence suggest otherwise.

Some Biblical Foot-notes for the Astute Reader

As a final side-bar to this story, there are comments in the Bible's book of prophecy, Revelation, that also corroborate some of the broad strokes of this illustration. That book uses the image of drunkenness to describe an allegorical 'woman' (usually symbolic of a community or a nation): “I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus” (Rev 17:6).

In a described vision that applies to the nations at the end of this age, it refers to an entity called 'Babylon,' clearly a code for the dominant nation of the day:
“For all nations have drunk the wine of her passionate unfaithfulness and have fallen thereby. The kings of the earth have debauched themselves with her, and the merchants of the earth have grown rich from the extravagance of her dissipation!” (Rev 18:3 Phillips translation).

Further on, it states:
“Then the kings of the earth, who debauched and indulged themselves with her, will wail and lament over her. Standing at a safe distance through very fear of her torment, they will watch the smoke of her burning and cry, “Alas, alas for the great city, Babylon the mighty city, that your judgment should come in a single hour.” (Rev 18:9-10, Phillips).

That vision concludes with the observations:
“For your merchants were the great ones of the earth, and all nations were seduced by your witchery!” (i.e. witch-craft = economic, technologic, military, political manipulation).
For in her was discovered the blood of prophets and saints, indeed the blood of all who were ever slaughtered upon the earth.” (Rev 18:23-24, Phillips).

These are merely a few, revealing verses that identify a psychopathic nation, on a rampage at the end of this age, just prior to the final crisis of planet Earth. It doesn't take a genius graduate of divinity college to figure out who it is. It all fits the picture of our present world.

Consciousness Curriculum for Century 21

A dozen years into this 21st century, and it's clear that there's a general raising of awareness taking place in the population. Proponents often call it a shift to a higher consciousness. It's a shift that takes place in stages, and it's instructive to examine those ascending phases of mind expansion.

Those people who now turn to the Internet for their news, shunning the once-reputable television, radio, and newspapers, are doing so because they've come to a new awareness. That new outlook is generally characterized by the following main realizations:
- the mainstream media are not giving us the true picture of what is going on in the world;
- the mainstream media have abandoned investigative reporting, giving us, instead, statements from government officials, corporate spokespersons, and copy from 'press associations;'
- our governments are withholding an increasing amount of information from us, they are imposing growing restrictions on our basic freedoms, and nothing they proclaim can be taken at face value.

Once a citizen of the 'Western world' has arrived at these three understandings (explicitly or implicitly) they have completed their qualifying course, which we can call 'Consciousness 101,' the beginning of awareness. It's equivalent to when Neo swallows the red pill in The Matrix. Life will never be the same. Most students at this level gain a desire to learn more, and so they embark on the next level of study.

In Consciousness 201, the student discovers that none of what s/he learned in 101 happened by accident, by mere random history. No, the efforts to manage our news, our perceptions of the world, are co-ordinated by unseen agencies; agencies that must be linked to government, given their scope. As a result of this realization, the student must acknowledge that yes, Virginia, there really IS a (shhh!) conspiracy afoot. But who are the culprits, and what's their game?

For some neophytes, (or 'Neo'-phytes?) this is when they realize that JFK was the last independent and genuine president of the USA, i.e. one who upheld the constitution and stood for the good of the populace. This is the level where they finally do a little reading on the '9-11' saga, and have the veil ripped from their eyes. The whole government/media 'explanation' is a pack of transparent nonsense! Why hadn't they seen it before?

Probably after completing this course, the modern boddisatva may need a 'term break,' a little respite from mind-boggling revelations. Once accustomed to living with the new awareness, tho, the student will desire to progress. In Consciousness 301, the revelations get even more bizarre, yet now the evidence can no longer be dismissed with the unconscious derision of yore.

The newly awakened learner discovers that the conspiracy is not a modern phenomenon; it goes back who knows how long. Could it have started in 1776 with the founding of the Illuminati in Bavaria by Meyer Amschel Bauer? Does it go back to the institution of 'Scottish Rite Freemasonry', ca. 1500? If so, it can be traced back further to the Order of the Knights Templar, beginning around 1100.

Regardless of origin, their 'game' seems unbelievable, yet we are living its reality. Their plan is for the creation of a one-world government, with themselves (the 'Elite') ruling over a 'manageable' global population of serfs. Hence, the student sees the significance of the symbology employed by the hidden forces. Especially, the pyramid, indicating their hierarchical, command and control model, with which they have already achieved much progress in their ages-old quest for domination.

As mind-stretching as those revelations are, yet there's more. Moving up to Consciousness 401, the curriculum gets particularly ugly. The student sees that, whoever these secret agents are, they are a nasty bunch of ruthless psychopaths. While they may never dirty their own hands with the blood of innocents (altho this is unlikely), they think nothing of putting the worst criminals as over-lords in various countries. Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Shah Reza Pahlavi, Saddam, the list goes on with all the familiar villains. Delving deeper, the scholar is almost shocked (but by now, is prepared) to discover the suave-suited evil-doers lurking in the respected halls of Western institutions. Smooth talkers like Kissinger, the Bush bunch, Blair, Brzezinski, Albright, the Clintons, the 'icons' of Wall St., and again, the list just goes on.

Behind the expensive exteriors, these agents of the agenda lead secret lives, indulging in bizarre and mysterious practices that would seem senseless to normal minds. Among their ranks are pedophiles, sadists, and occultists. These elitists get together at regular meetings held in great security at locales around the world, such as the Bilderburg Conference, the Davos Conference, the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, Bohemian Grove, etc. If confronted about the purpose behind these exclusive conclaves, members will indignantly respond that nothing out of the way occurs or is discussed. What then is the real purpose of these little confabs? If they're so innocent, why are they so secret?

The serious student can do a great deal of research at this level, and keep unearthing more unsettling details about the elite/banker/criminals. Because of their wealth, they've been able to keep much of their dealings confidential, consequently much of what is told of them is based on rumors, insider leaks, occasional disaffected former members, and other 'deniable' sources. Their story is so crazy-sounding that it offers them immediate cover in and of itself! For example, both George Bush and John Kerry have been asked about their membership in the 'Skull and Bones' society of Yale University. They simply laughed it off as too secret to talk about.

After all these far-out revelations have been assimilated by the advanced student of awareness, s/he'll wonder if there's a 'graduate level' course. The answer is, of course, yes. At the graduate level, one now discovers that the self-described elite are not atheists as one might presume. No, they are pure satanists. Those bizarre rituals are black magick rites intended to invoke demonic spirits and harness their powers for wicked purposes. The pedophilia is not mere sexual deviancy; it can extend to child sacrifice in their warped world. The numerology (elevens everywhere, for ex.), the one, all-seeing eye, the pyramids, the triple-sixes, the phoenixes, obelisks, and so many other weird symbols are all part of their sick, dark system.

Some scholars believe-- as do the elitists themselves, apparently-- that these individuals are descended from the mingling of extra-terrestrial DNA with human blood, producing a sub-strain of 'superior' humans who alone are worthy of running the planet. Whether true or not, these families-- said to be 13 in number-- have been fastidious in inter-marrying to preserve their elite blood-lines. The fact that such inter-breeding seems to have engendered psychopathy in their ranks is, apparently, too much for their deluded minds to acknowledge.

At the graduate level of consciousness, the scholar must put aside old preconceptions of reality, ones that s/he now understands were deliberately inculcated in the whole of society. The Theory of Evolution was instrumental in getting an entire culture to question, and then largely reject, the belief in a creator God. Once a sizeable portion of the populace abandoned God and religion, it was easy to introduce 'progressive' ideas that were highly destructive to the society at large. Every move is sold as a good thing-- sexual liberation, atomic energy, fluoride in the water supply, GMO food, privatization of public institutions, political correctness, liberal immigration, and you can find a great deal more. Whatever good was touted by the well-paid shills for these 'advancements' was soon overtaken by their true noxious fruit. But by then, the damage is endemic. The same prostitute experts make convoluted excuses for why we mustn't go back, and we are stuck with unending new problems to deal with.

It becomes apparent at this level of consciousness that the faces we see in public who actually enact the corrosive, self-defeating policies are not the ones making the evil decisions. They are mere dupes and puppets of those hybrids behind the scenes who prefer to remain unknown quantities. (Are they preparing for an inevitable day of reckoning from the proletariat who may not stay asleep forever?) As illustrated by the pyramid, what keeps these aparatchiks in line with the program is that they've been given promises and rewards by the hidden powers. They've also been grievously morally compromised in some way that makes them utterly open to blackmail. Hence, they do as they are bid, thinking (at first, anyway) that it's for some noble cause.

Looking deeper, one must wonder what motivates the hidden elitists themselves? After all, most have died without seeing their plan succeed. As implied above, this whole NWO fantasy is a spiritual phenomenon. What has kept it moving for centuries, if not millennia, is the dark spirit known to the Christian world as Satan. You dear reader may not believe in the Devil. He likes it that way. But clearly, the psychopathic elitists certainly believe in him. How else could you explain the success of their 'great work of the ages?' Without help from 'beyond,' any other human endeavor would have collapsed on itself long ago. That this alien entity is malevolent is unquestionable.

Regardless of how you want to characterize Satan (fallen angel, extraterrestrial, extra/inter-dimensional), he's real. If evil personified exists-- and at this level we are sure it does-- then, so too, does pure Good... i.e. God, for short! There's no room for doubt at this level of consciousness. You've come this far; you know you can't go back and live happily ever after.

If you need more convincing, then consider that the Bible has described all the elements of this cosmic drama coming to a crisis at this time. The scriptures tell us there is an evil entity called Satan, who was once a luminous angel until he rebelled in pride rather than pay homage to God's created mankind. Quoting Jesus and the apostles, the text explains that Satan is the deadly enemy of mankind, a great deceiver and the 'father of lies,' bent on destroying as many souls as he can. The Revelation further tells us that at the end of the age, God comes with His legions to 'destroy those who destroy the Earth.'

To the initiate of raised consciousness, there is no doubt that the foolish overseers who push the corporate agenda have their foot to the metal, ignoring all the warning signals, and are determined to push the planetary ecosystem over the brink of disaster. You see it everywhere; but you don't fully accept the reality yet because you can still drive to the supermarket and buy groceries to fill your cupboards. That situation could change dramatically in a trice. From dodgy nuclear plants, to messing with nano-tech, to chem-trails, to genetic manipulation, to deforestation and unbridled exploitation of resources, the pillage of the planet proceeds at a frenetic pace.

Our government and corporate leaders (and there's virtually no difference) are like truckers on cocaine, pedal to the metal, hell-bent on reaching a destination they don't even know. Satan has duped them into doing his will using this farcical delusion of a 'New World Order' where they'll rule like kings, over an impoverished slave class. They don't seem capable of simple reasoning from cause to effect. The end result of the forces they have set in motion is the complete destruction of Earth. If anyone survives, there will be little worth ruling over!

This is Satan's true plan-- the destruction of the planet, and the human souls on it. The Earth is so polluted-- the soil, the atmosphere, the water, the gene pool of many flora and fauna, including humanity-- that the existence of many species is threatened with extinction. While diseases are getting increasingly widespread, promoted by the very devices held as our saviours (e.g. chemo- and radiation 'therapy,' vaccines, drugs) what's worse is the pollution of our collective soul. Our moral fibre has been undermined until most people simply react as they've been conditioned by the media, little understanding the spiritual implications of their choices in things like entertainment, spending, eating, voting, etc.

The now-enlightened scholar, having progressed thru the levels of consciousness, may feel overwhelmed by the extent of evil in the world. All would, indeed, be lost in this lifetime were it not for the God who will not allow Satan to win this game. In fact, Satan knows he is defeated; but like a kamikaze, he will destroy as much as possible before his final extinction. The patience of the saints will be rewarded with the ultimate victory of Good over Evil; and more than that, with a re-newed Earth under a new heaven. At that point, all spiritual seekers will have graduated with distinction to their crowning achievement. Let us take heart in that hope!

Failure of Imagination

In every area of human thought, hidden gatekeepers impose limits on what we are allowed to know.
Regrettably, most of us aren't even aware of that, so we willingly assume that whatever we 'know' must be true. This assumption is completely false, and worse, leads us into all kinds of problems.

Examples of what I'm referring to are hard to convey, because the approved, orthodox version of knowledge is so predominant in society that any belief that contradicts it is resisted by the acculturated mind. The 'healthcare' system is a moribund joke, utterly under the spell of avaricious corporations bent on profits over any semblance of health promotion. Medicine is now the fourth leading cause of death in the USA, and it will only get worse as gov't regulations seem bent on eliminating all alternative approaches to health and healing. In astro-physics the gravity model reigns supreme, despite its dependence on some highly esoteric artifacts to support it (e.g. dark matter; black holes). A competing model-- the 'electric universe'-- has a hard time making any headway in the entrenched gravity priesthood, even tho it may have superior explanatory power. In biology, Evolution has become the faith, and all attempts to demonstrate its deficiencies are roundly denounced by the self-assured Darwinists.

The same situation prevails in all realms of study; we are only allowed to know within established boundaries. Some will object, 'This is just human nature, experts protecting their turf.' Yes, that's true. But how did this become the norm? Others will say it's a beneficial thing to prevent knowledge from falling into unsound, spurious fragments. My response is, 'How do we advance if new ideas that challenge the status quo are rejected out of hand?'

The problem of orthodoxy originates in our schools. The development of mass education presented a golden opportunity for the elitists to begin molding society along desired lines of thought, what we now recognize as group-think. Recognizing group-think has done nothing to alleviate it. We herd our children into education camps under the authority of a hierarchy of tutors and guardians, expose them to the ultimate in conformity, and instruct them under a strictly-regulated curriculum, all conducted over a period of 12 years or much longer.

In this environment, they eventually 'learn' what they must do to succeed in this world of ours. One of the principal lessons is that questioning your 'boss' (teachers) or challenging official teaching on any subject will just land you in a mess of difficulties. You can't fight 'city hall,' or the board of education. The way to succeed is to give them what they want-- which is exactly what they taught you.

You can pretend to be creative once you catch on to this phoney system built on group illusion. Find some little twist on an accepted theme, and play it up as a 'breakthru' and you'll be hailed as a genius. But, be very careful how far you push this little game, or you might be severely disciplined.

In a group-think environment, one of the main goals of the overseers is to contain the human imagination. An unbridled imagination is a dangerous threat to orthodoxy. If you can imagine a different world, a new avenue of knowledge, then you become subversive to the status quo.

Because of the power of the media in the modern world, for most people if they don't see it on their TV, it didn't happen. In the past, it was newspapers that wielded this power, but then there was far less consolidation of separate interests compared to today. As a tool of public 'education' (indoctrination) television has been as indispensable as the school system. Besides pre-digesting and homogenizing our views on the world around us, TV has the added advantage (for the controllers) of numbing our minds in the process. As noted by media guru Marshall McLuhan (a truly imaginative thinker!) TV is a passive medium, and information beamed from its bright screens tends to be absorbed by the onlooker with minimum critical evaluation.

While both mass education and television had the potential to be used beneficially for the genuine improvement of mankind, the opposite has occurred once they were high-jacked by the opportunistic forces seeking the enslavement of humanity. Instead, these two institutions have been instrumental in promoting the views and values that are proving the undoing of this species. Those who control the media have pushed every manner of destructive policies and attitudes on the mostly unsuspecting masses.

You can see the lack of imagination in what passes for public debate on vital issues. Sure, there will inevitably be polar dispute between the proponents and the opponents. This is just what our masters want-- you must choose A or B... nothing more, nothing less. Every policy thus devolves into this stark choice between opposites; the classic 'Hegelian dialectic.' If anyone with surviving imagination dares to propose option C (or more) they are immediately marginalized by the all-knowing media, and that glimmer of reason withers and dies.

Nowhere is the Hegelian choice between dumb and dumber any clearer than in American politics. Every election, every issue, is always presented as a titanic battle between left and right, liberal and conservative, Dumb-ocrat and Repug-nican. Third-party candidates in presidential elections are completely ignored by the media, hence they don't exist. (Any of you readers remember Ron Paul? How about Ralph Nader?)

Peer-pressured conformity to group values is an essential strategy in pyramidal, command and control systems. You see it in military institutions, and other hierarchies. Extended to whole societies, such compliance allows unscrupulous opportunists to gain unconscionable power over the people. As a consequence of their 'excellent' schooling, and their 'compelling' television networks, Americans, by and large, cannot imagine choices beyond A-vs-B. Far worse, they cannot imagine that their own government has devolved into a tyrannical force that is bent on enslaving and impoverishing them... with their co-operation.

The systematic squelching of our imagination from childhood to senility is more than a loss of creativity, it is a tragic deprivation of a vital component of the human psyche, one that was intended as a gift to safeguard us against the tyranny of conformity and the submersion of our individuality. Can you imagine that?

Paradox; Challenge to Atheists and Christians

Here's something for y'all to think about:
both atheists and Christians are wrong in their thinking about the Bible and religion... and for the same reason! Neither atheists (as self-described) nor Christians (the bench-warming, 90%) actually read the Bible and have any genuine understanding of it.
For that lack of knowledge, both groups come to erroneous-- and opposite-- views concerning spiritual reality. Now that both sides are annoyed, let me explain before you hit the 'x'.

1. The Christian Conundrum

Christians say they get their knowledge from the Bible... unless they're Catholic, and get their religion 'second-hand,' being interpreted for them from scripture by a self-appointed layer of clergy and church scholars. Protestant Christians claim they rely purely on scripture for their religion; but there's two big problems here. First, if that claim is true, then how can there be such widely differing understandings of the same scriptures among different camps? Second, the vast majority of Protestants simply accept the interpretation of scripture handed down by the denominational authorities of the church to which they 'belong' (note wording). In other words, these Protestants are no different than Catholics in how they get their religion!

Proof of the diversity of 'truths' exhibited by the modern 'Christian church' (whatever it may be) is the profusion of 'isms' needed to describe all the various schools of belief on any given subject. For instance, there's fundamentalism, preterism, millennialism, dispensationalism, and so on; and within each of these, there are further sub-divisions. (One may note that these are not competing ideologies, but a taxonomical sample.) By definition, there can only be one truth, therefore, logically, the majority of believers are wrong on any given topic.

In the USA (in particular) Christians are generally characterized by secularists as 'ultra-conservative,' for their opposition to 'socially progressive' policies such as abortion and 'gay rights,' to choose two of their flagship causes. Without (for the moment) judging these two cases, the conservative Christians seem curiously silent about matters such as growing poverty in the midst of plenty, endless and pointless foreign wars pursued by their gov't, torture of detainees (a return to the Inquisitions), deliberate murder of civilians in the cause of exporting 'democracy,' loss of freedoms for dubious security, and any number of other social inequities.

In fact, for most American Christians, the Devil is a Communist, and any suggestion of applying policy to close the wealth gap an iota between rich and poor is denounced by conservatives and Christians alike as 'communism.' While the US gov't is in debt to the tune of $16 trillion (or so; who knows?) thanks to the billions of dollars squandered on the military and its misadventures, they are now cutting back food stamps for the poor! If that fact doesn't rile up Christians to tirades of indignation, then one has to wonder if it is they who support the Devil. It seems any depredation can be perpetrated by the US gov't with full approval of the Christian block, so long as it's done under the twin banners of patriotism and capitalism.

As evidence of their ignorance of scripture, many (again, American) Christians lend their uncritical support to the state of modern Israel, regardless of its ruthless transgressions against the native Palestinians. Fast-talking pastors, waving the Old Testament in their hands, have bamboozled the bench-warmers to give money and political aid to the 'synagogue of Satan,' headquartered in Israel. They are ignorant of the ways Israel is bleeding the USA of funds, using the US military for its own Middle East ambitions, and even guiding and funding groups that are fighting US troops in various war venues. All Christians know is what their pastors tell them concerning how they must stand with the Jews in order to 'assist God' in bringing about the End of the Age. (Their wussy 'God' can't seem to do anything without their mindless meddling.)

Despite all the verses taken piecemeal from the Old Testament prophets, a cohesive study of New Testament prophecy will reveal surprises concerning the USA and Israel at the end of the Age. Far from being benign, peace-making nations, these two beasts show their true roles in the Book of Revelation as satanic partners in crime. Stupefied Christians are due for major shocks to their shaky beliefs in the near future, when they are not raptured out of trouble, but must face deception that could shatter their faith. (Refs [1], [2], [3]).

2. The Atheist Animus

So much for the Christian persona; what about atheists? Judging from the comments left by readers on a wide range of non-religious websites, atheists appear to hate Christians and the Bible with a fervor that, if anything, exceeds the revulsion of 'Christians' for 'sinners.' And who could blame them, given the group behavior of Christians as outlined above? However, what if the knowledge of atheists is tainted? Where do people get their impressions, those ideas that become their beliefs? For most of us, it's from the media-- i.e. newspapers, magazines, radio, and especially, TV and movies. How reliable and unbiased are the media?, I ask you.

That's part of the problem for atheists-- they're tilting at 'Christian windmills' created by the media-- the same media many people are coming to understand as the primary purveyors of the NWO regime. Those media stories have focussed on such things as pedophile priests, avaricious TV pastors, political meddling by 'Christian' leaders, etc. Over the past two decades, rarely can you find a widespread story giving any credit to Christian influence. From the secular media it's a constant barrage of how Christians want to deny abortion to women, and deny 'equal rights' (disguise for priority) for homosexuals. The alternative media are just as guilty in denouncing Christians and Christian values, the same values that helped elevate the USA to its preeminent position-- from which it is rapidly declining as 'secular values' grow to rule the day.

The big problem for atheists-- as for mainstream Christians-- is that they are incapable (or is it unwilling) to distinguish between the popular face of modern, fabricated Christianity (as described above), and the true, Bible-based faith. American Christian churches as they have come to be, bear scant resemblance to the faith of the apostles. Sure, they use their peculiar vocabulary, with sporadic reference to Jesus; but overall, they are stuck in their scary legalism, preaching 'eternal damnation' and rapture of the club-members, and other non-Biblical nonsense.

If atheists (and nominal Christians, for that matter) could go beyond the Hollywood version of Christianity and check scripture for themselves, they would (one hopes) perceive the real faith from the fake. Well, it's a thought, anyway. In fact, some critics of Christianity have gone to the trouble of reading the scriptures, and they still come away with their unbridled hatred of the faith. What went wrong?

Here's where so many miss it. As the Bible states, scripture is spiritually discerned, and opaque to the eyes of the profane. Just because you read words does not mean you understand the intent behind them. If you go in convinced it's all foolishness, then that is what you'll find. If you read with a genuine desire to know if it's true, you will probably be surprised.

Fundamentalists want to take scripture literally, and usually find extremism with that mindset. Others see everything as 'spiritual' (figurative) and thus discount much of applicable value. To use spiritual discernment is to be guided by God's spirit to know what is literal and what is not. It is to see the big picture of God's plan for humanity sketched in scripture, and not get bogged down or side-tracked or deterred by apparently confusing or contradictory details. Too many readers, Christian and non, get so involved with the 'trees' that they completely lose sight of the forest.

So, how is a person who doesn't believe in God supposed to be guided by God's Spirit? The idea is to suspend knee-jerk antipathy long enough to read the text with an objective eye. Before dismissing scripture with 'scientific' disdain, consider it on its own merits, and note its coherence within an overall context. One must be honest enough to say, 'If there is a God, may He guide my understanding.'

3. Commentary

Am I setting myself up as 'the expert,' who knows it all? No; but here's something to ponder. The truths of scripture are simple, not complicated; they are in plain sight, not hidden. The professional theologians and their acolytes want us to believe it's very complex, to justify their high status and salaries. The enemies of faith want us to believe it's all nonsense, inventions of history, to lead us away from present peace and life hereafter. But it's really simple.

Jesus stated it in one sentence: 'God loved the world (humanity) so much that He gave His only son so that whoever believes in him will not perish but will have eternal life' (John 3:16). That's the core message (the gospel) of Christian faith. As for defining how believers ought to live their lives, it doesn't take ten laws, or six hundred. It comes down to one, 'golden' rule: do to others as you would want done to you.

That's really the entire message of Jesus, hence of original Christianity! No one can argue against that core belief. If you don't want to acknowledge God and/or 'the son' (Christ), at least you can recognize the inherent value of 'love one another' via the golden rule.

So, atheists, if you're going to persist in hating 'Christianity,' at least be aware that it is a created straw-man that you are opposing; you have nothing to fear from genuine, non-denominated Christian faith. If you detest that fearsome blood-thirsty 'god' of Old Testament writings, go to the New Testament and see how Jesus paints a different picture of the one he calls his Father.

Christians, are you trying to live a New Testament life using an Old Testament mindset? It can't be done! That's what the Revelation (ch. 3) refers to as the lukewarm church [4]. Let go of the legalism of living under the tyranny of the Law. Are you saved by grace or by the Law? If you are truly being led by the Spirit, then why are you still preoccupied with the Ten Commandments? Paul tried to settle this matter for good with his letter to the Galatians; but like a zombie, it keeps coming back to haunt the church.

It's that legalistic outlook that causes people to look down on anyone who is seen to not live up to the imposed standard. By extension, anyone who is not one of 'us' must join us or be regarded as an enemy.

4. More Similarities

There's yet another way that atheists and Christians (church-goers) are surprisingly alike. (Perhaps all people share this trait.) They start off as 'seekers' of truth, either zealously, or nominally. They may explore a few possible avenues, altho mostly they are really reacting against some early beliefs-- e.g. the religion of their parents, typically. Eventually, they come across some 'system' (all human belief paradigms are religions of a sort) that captures their imagination. 'This is it!' they gleefully exclaim. 'This is all I need to know about the universe; I have all the answers I need for the rest of my life.'

And that's where they stop. Whether they've 'found' the Roman Catholic Church, some small cult or 'school' of thought, Buddhism, or secular humanism, the search comes to a grinding halt. Now really; can a mere mortal arrive at complete knowledge, a.k.a. Truth? Isn't it more reasonable to acknowledge that there's always more we can learn, that the search doesn't end until we do?

Okay, I hear the baying critics reflecting that last comment back at me! I assure you readers that I am still searching for more light. In fact, there is much that I've learned in just the past few years that has expanded my paradigm immensely; so much so that I can't really add it to the basics of my stated beliefs. Why not? Because to do so would require too great a leap for most people's imagination! It's clearly hard enough to try to get readers to comprehend what I'm presenting here-- that the mainstream Christianity presented to the world is a hollow caricature of genuine, aboriginal Christian faith. It is sufficient for people to come to grips with that fact, and then proceed to study to discover that genuine, priceless faith.

We started with a paradox: that both atheists and nominal Christians fail to understand the Bible, and for the same reasons. That enigma poses a challenge to both groups: are you willing to do the homework to discover where/if your current beliefs may be deficient and can be strengthened?

You can always do nothing. Stay smug in your status-quo, confident in those who have pre-digested your philosophy for you. Or, you can recognize that there's probably more to life's story than the well-paid experts would have you believe.

Every belief system is a mind-box. Do you like yours nice and snug and close-fitting? Or would you breathe more freely in a box whose walls you can barely see in the distance? As always, it's your choice.

End Games Pt2

In the first essay on End Times follies, I focussed mostly on the 'religious,' and 'Christian' aspect of 'future schlock.' As usual, there's more one can add.

One thing that all forecasters of the future often forget is that, regardless of how certain some outcomes may appear,
God can always throw a 'spanner' (wrench) in the works, and change the game-board in a moment.
(If you don't want to acknowledge God, call it fate or the cosmos, or something.) Whether you're a 'good guy' or one of the 'bad guys' in this crazy play, your perceptions and choices can be drastically altered very abruptly by forces and factors you never saw coming... that you could not have seen coming.

My father, an ardent anti-Communist, passed away in October, 1989. If he had lived just another two months, he would have been stunned to see the fall of the Berlin Wall and the beginning of the end of European Communism. The geo-political chess-board was overturned almost overnight. That's how quickly our world can change; and few people could have predicted it.

A similar situation prevails today. There are various camps of thought about how the near future is going to transpire. (I've outlined many of them in other essays.) I have my own ideas about the general outlines of what's to come. But I don't let myself get too attached to any particular details, because I know how fast things can change. For those wedded to a fixed notion, the impact of unexpected change can be very unsettling. It can completely 'unglue' some people. The best preparation one can do ahead of time is to free your mind from cast-in-stone scenarios, and to train yourself to be flexible.

While the PTB are getting increasingly desperate, and therefore, bold, in pushing their agenda forward, there are signs that the great 'silent majority' are also waking up, and becoming more aware of how they are being duped and manipulated in every sphere of life. And it isn't easy for this awakening to occur, since the prime source of information-- the mainstream, network news organizations-- are zealous organs of propaganda for the corporatocracy that governs us.

With their hegemony over the news channels, it is easy for the PTB to disseminate their illusions to the masses, but very difficult for the truth-tellers to reach a few interested souls. If it were not for the Internet, it would be virtually impossible for the ordinary folk to have any possibility of obtaining 'alternative' (i.e. possessing some degree of truth) news. Even tho the Internet is monitored by government agencies, it is still possible to access independent sources of information, and to thereby gain an idea of what is really happening in the world.

It's almost as if the Internet was raised up at the appropriate time to provide an alternative to the satanic propaganda flowing from the big networks for Big Brother. Yes, the Internet also is a source of pornography, misinformation, disinformation, and craziness; but, at least it is the only way to obtain information that is not fabricated by the self-serving PTB. Thus, the onus is on the individual to exercise discernment and discretion when using this powerful technology.

Because of the diversity and confusion that characterize the Internet, the PTB have not moved to shut it down. They have co-opted and perverted every other technology to their advantage, so that is their tactic with the 'Net, too. Using paid 'trolls,' they attempt to discredit and disarm any movements and opinions they can find on popular websites that might stand against their agenda. Just look at the comments added to any article that contains elements that reveal the hypocrisy and misdeeds of the ruling, bankster elite, and their toady cut-outs and spokespersons. You'll find a few cogent remarks, generally brief, along with lengthy, flatulent diatribes that employ all kinds of spurious arguments, ad-hominen attacks, and generally worthless drivel, seemingly generated to discredit the original effort. Where would such incompetents get the time to create such rubbish if they weren't sponsored by faceless organizations subservient to the NWO?

As with TV programs, the dark forces devise websites that promote and justify their twisted agenda, using the most respectable and recognized authorities. They are experts at using false, beneficial ends to justify evil, destructive means. Deception is their stock in trade; creating false opposition, or co-opting opponents are standard ops for them.

Hence, you can't just do a 'google' search and put your faith in whatever the great digital oracle dishes up. It takes 'digging' for a variety of sources, comparing of claims, and exercise of mature judgement, to arrive at a semblance of truth. It's not a passive pass-time, unlike watching the telly.

Final events will unfold-- are unfolding as you read. Expect the unexpected. Don't put all your hopes in one paradigm, in one guru, in one so-called truth. Prepare your soul for a wild ride; the future is not what it's supposed to be.

End Games

Honestly, it's astonishing to see from the front lines how this momentous final act is playing out. I've been 'into' end-times prophecy for a large part of my life, and have read and studied many different theories.
Now to watch the drama unfold before us is quite bizarre. Because it's nothing like what any of the popular scenarios depict, not at all!

After all my research over the years, the manual I've found most useful and reliable is the Bible (cue the jeers, I know!). But, I don't use the scriptures like the majority of pundits. To start with, I don't belong to any denomination nor school of teaching; my conclusions are all my own. So I don't pull together a hodge-podge of isolated verses, and painfully force them into a narrative that supports a pre-determined scenario... as does almost every other 'scholar' whose speculations I've encountered. Without a pre-set outcome, it's amazing how the scriptures can explain themselves in the light of an overview of current world events.

That introduction is as prelude to my following remarks. If you're a 'Christian,' you can forget about the 'Left Behind' (i.e. 'rapture') nonsense that is virtually the exclusive preserve of the American Evangelical camp. A proper understanding of scripture quickly demonstrates the vapidity of this view.

Non-Christian but 'spiritual' individuals have their favored apocalyptic scenarios, too. Most of them fall in the New Age type of outlook, anticipating a soon-to-come (some say already progressing) change in consciousness of the whole human race, a jump in vibrational frequency, as some put it. They see the gathering darkness and global destruction, but see it as merely the last gasp of opposition to the impending mind-shift that will usher us into some kind of glorious utopia.

Then there are the aboriginal traditions of tribes such as the Hopi, the Mayas, the Lakotas, and so on. They see humanity at a cross-roads, faced with a choice of recognizing our connectedness and common interests, or else continuing down the current path of mutual destruction that will include our 'Mother Earth,' as well. Like the Hindus and others, they tend to view history as cyclical, with periodic catastrophes that represent a virtual reset of human progress.

In our 'Western tradition' there is recognition of all these alternative viewpoints, as well as a secular view that seems to echo the indigenous view, i.e. that we are heading towards a crisis of some kind, be it global famine due to overpopulation, technological disaster (e.g. nuclear poisoning, world war, etc.), solar emissions, an asteroid hit, or whatever. In that optic, it's the end of the world... 'as we know it,' that they envision. Curiously, you can now find TV channels that practically specialize in documentaries that cover all these various scenarios.

Thus, there are many scenarios to chose from, including the 'we'll muddle thru somehow,' optimistic view. What amazes me, tho, is that none of these outlooks accurately depicts what is really unfolding. As J. Haldane (discoverer of the ring structure of hydrocarbon molecules) once stated: “the universe is not only stranger than we imagine, it is stranger than we can imagine.” Time after time, arrogant humans, mostly 'Christians' of some ilk, propose dates for the end of the world, or the second coming of Christ, only to be left looking foolish as they deserve. Others construct elaborate scripts for their preferred future, and vigorously promote these to any impressionable soul who'll lend them an ear.

Perhaps because of the final book included in the Bible, Christians are particularly prone to engage in this on-going frenzy of 'apocalyptics.' It all goes back to the Revelation given to apostle John, as he spent his final days in exile on Patmos. He was given a series of (frankly) weird visions that he was told depict what was to unfold on Earth 'shortly.' I would argue that it is no accident that this enigmatic book was included in the biblical canon despite seeming to do little to amplify the gospel. Used correctly, it has given hope to down-trodden believers in Christ, down thru the ages. In the abusive hands of religious hucksters, the Revelation has also been used to deceive and defraud many innocent people who do not take the trouble to instruct themselves in the scriptures.

So it is that Christians of various denominations have their pet, apocalyptic hobby horses. American Evangelicals wait impatiently for a 'rapture' that will not happen. But they won't even bother to investigate the outrageous claims of their blathering pastors. No; they prefer to presume that their shepherds are infallible and would never mislead their flocks. Why should they read material that could confuse them with enlightening information?

Seventh-Day Adventists, likewise, await their bogey-man, the 'Sunday Law' that will force church worship on Sunday, rather than their sacred-cow 'Sabbath,' inherited from the Jews. Once, not many years ago, SDAs might have been accused of spending too much time focussing on 'the End Times,' yet today, they might instead be accused of falling into the same spiritual lethargy that seems to characterize the mainstream, Sunday churches. Concern for the near-future has been swallowed by creeping pragmatism. As the once-hyped Advent events fail to materialize, the faithful lapse into the business of doing church, pumping out denominational literature, and never-ending fund-raising for their schools and other projects.

Similar stories could be told of all the 'Bible-based' churches. The most vital business at hand is merely hanging on to the souls they've managed to entice, or that are born into their particular faith. Somewhere on the denominational shelves are a few books that present their approved views on eschatology. Should they be interested, the faithful are directed to those sources as being the only views on the future upon which to hang their eternal hopes.

As I surf the Internet, browse the religious websites, and read the articles and dogmas, it becomes dishearteningly evident-- none of the ecclesiastical authorities has pieced together a solid, scripturally sound outlook on what is presently happening, and what can be expected in the 'near term.' To make a statement like that implies that I consider that I possess a standard by which one can verify that other theories fall short. To avoid sounding arrogant, I can at least point out the obvious-- that since so many of the theories disagree with each other, it becomes difficult if not impossible to discern the truth.

In fact, even secular sources have, in instances, more insight into the unfolding end game than most churches. American church-goers have been bamboozled by a few, deceitful but influential preachers into believing that: (a) End-times events revolve around protecting the state of Israel, and (b) that 'Christians' can somehow force God's hand to bring about those eschatological events, with their political and financial support of Israel. While the blind Baptists and Evangelicals pour their efforts and treasure into support of rogue-state Israel, and into corrupt politicians who do the same, secular observers write incisive analyses clearly exposing the gross misconduct of the Zionist entity. When non-religious critics condemned the US government over 'rendition,' torture, Bahgram, and Guantanamo, there was a deafening silence from the so-called Christian camps, which should have been immediately crying foul to these offences against humanity. But in the ultra-conservative, patriotic ranks of American Christianity, any offences are tolerable if they're committed by 'us' against those 'devilish enemies' (whoever they may be).

As a non-affiliated believer in Christ observing all these events, it is (or was; I'm hardened to it now) highly discouraging to see just how 'out to lunch' all the recognized spokesmen and representatives of 'Christianity' truly are.

You Can Lead a Horse to...

The major obstacle preventing a member of any given Christian church from determining truth about eschatology is simply human nature. Most persons prefer to have information pre-digested and spoon-fed, rather than have to research it for themselves. In the religious world, this fact must be blamed equally on the clergy, who, to protect their privileged positions, create the impression that the Bible is so complex and obtuse that only those specially trained are able to interpret it. This practice has been going on since the earliest days of Christendom, as soon as professional clergy were appointed.

The next hurdle in the individual's path to knowledge again rests in our nature. Most people prefer to deal with 'known quantities' when it comes to major 'purchases.' In the heyday of 'main-frame computers,' there was a saying among customers: 'No-one ever got fired for buying IBM.' Likewise, consumers of religion like to go with the familiar. They seem to reason that God will not accuse anyone belonging to a religion with millions of adherents of bad doctrinal beliefs. That, perhaps, may be true as far as one's eternal fate is concerned. But, in terms of correctly anticipating End-time events, it is fatally flawed.

So attached are church-members to this notion of safety in numbers that you cannot get most people to even look at a pamphlet from a non-approved (i.e. extra-denominational) source. If you can get them to listen to alternative views for a few minutes, they might actually acknowledge that it has truth. Yet, for these people to abandon their familiar, packaged views for a 'foreign' outlook is just too scary a prospect.

The foregoing remarks beg the question: does a faulty view of eschatology imply or entail that a person will be denied eternal life? The answer is, of course, no it doesn't... however, there are definite risks associated. A Christian who is convinced that events are going to unfold in such-and-such a specific manner may very well become discouraged and give up all belief in God when those events fail to materialize. This kind of apostasy did, in fact, occur back in 1843/44 among followers of William Miller who were so sure that Christ was returning then that they sold their farms and belongings ahead of the announced dates.

What Christians have badly underestimated (or missed) in these perilous days is the extent of the deception that is being used to mislead us. Practically everything is turned upside down; good is called evil, evil touted as good. As I indicated above, often the secular are better able to distinguish evil from good than are Christians loyal to a church outlook. Only the spiritually aware can see thru the deceptions. Those who are stuck doggedly to a dogma are at serious risk of following a false messiah. Look, Christians: Mr. Antichrist is not going to be wearing a black hat and twirling a moustache, like some silver-screen villain! He's going to be a smooth-talking, flag-waving, well-dressed person with impeccable religious credentials. The kind of guy who's already ripped-off numerous television viewers of their cash by promising a load of religious rubbish. You fell for it then; you'll probably fall for it again!

In the Biblical past, God sent prophets to His people to warn them of impending disasters. Today, when we're facing the biggest crisis ever to befall humanity (as signals indicate) there seems to be a lack of credible Christian voices sounding an alarm. On the web you can find self-appointed prophets of all kinds, from secular to religious of all persuasions. Some almost sound convincing; others come across as borderline lunatic. Even restricting to just current 'Christian' prophets or commentators, there's a huge difference in views from one to another. So, even an unbiased seeker (if there be such a creature) has a bewildering array of prognostications to consider and evaluate for a rational view of the End of the Age.

It's that babble of diverse opinions that is the greatest barrier facing anyone who dares to investigate what is really happening in this crazy world. There are a few people who know they have the essential answers; I'm one of them. I don't make that claim lightly or from any desire to boast. But I've put in the years of effort... unlike the vast majority who 'know' everything from sitting passively in front of their tellys, having only official news downloaded into their befuddled minds. As Jesus stated, 'Seek and ye shall find.' You're not seeking when you merely absorb pre-digested mental mush designed to keep us ignorant.

Ironically, (and that seems to be the way God works) those who are trumpeting nonsense have the most popular websites and the biggest audiences. The few of us who present sober, solid warnings are on the mere margins of visibility, with few eyes falling on our words. It's beyond my ability to turn the situation around; I can only put out the truths I discover, and let God worry about how it gets disseminated. (Does God worry? I don't know!)

The American Dream Revisited

It's a cliche that defined a nation-- the American Dream. What did it mean?
Some define it as the notion that anyone can attain success, fame and wealth through thrift and hard work. Wikipedia describes it as: 'a set of ideals in which freedom includes the opportunity for prosperity and success, and an upward social mobility achieved through hard work.' The idea of an American Dream seems nascent in the Declaration of Independence which claims the right of citizens to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

We never hear of any other country having a national dream; it is a peculiarly American concept. Nor have other countries declared it a vital concern to 'pursue happiness,' as in some kind of national hedonism. And so it is, that Americans became dreamers, and pursued happiness with fervor. The 'dream'-- as amorphous as it is-- was highly attractive to waves of immigrants in the 20th century, and for a while, it certainly appeared as if anyone could make the dream a reality.

Then came the 'realistic '80s, followed by the industrial 'restructuring' of the '90s, and finally, the terror-laden start to the 21st century. Thru-out those last 30 years, the 'Dream' was steadily, and stealthily, morphing into a nightmarish reality. Today, many citizens have awakened to the cold fact that, actually, only 1% of the population enjoys the sought-after goodies promised in the old American Dream. For the other 99%, their standard of living has been steadily falling, by most economic measures, and their hopes of climbing out of their situation thru hard work are bleak at best. In one generation, the big Dream has become the disturbing nightmare.

The term 'the American Dream,' is now loaded with irony. Looking back, one can see that the ruling elite exploited the ideals embedded in the Dream to build their capitalist juggernauts, thru the willing laborers on their assembly lines, and the mass consumers of the endless products that rolled off those lines. They fostered the Dream, dangling it like ripe bait before the noses of those eager to acquire the accoutrements of the ultimate consumer society. In other words, it was always a dream, in the more literal sense. Sure, some people-- many, in fact-- did make it, especially in the early years when the whole economic cycle was in the ascendancy phase. But that success was part of the trap being set by the bankster elite.

From about the 1980s, actual wages of the 'working (middle) class' started declining, while 'down-sizing,' 'right-sizing,' 'off-shoring,' and other such buzz-words were seen more and more, as the de-industrializing of America was pursued by the multi-national corporations in the never-ending quest for share-holder profits. The response of most Americans was to work even harder, in a bid to revive the fading Dream.

Fast-forward to the year 2012, and we find that, while the official unemployment figure hovers around a very tolerable 7 – 9% range, the true statistic is in the 20 – 23% range. How do you work hard when you don't have a job to work at? At the same time, thanks to the 'mortgage bubble' bursting, millions of Americans have lost an essential component of the Dream-- which is their home. As a consequence of the 'banking crisis,' resulting from the mortgage crisis, American no longer have easy access to borrowed money-- another vital ingredient in fueling the Dream. The American Dream was predicated on vast sums of free-flowing money; when the river became a trickle, the Dream became a nightmare.

But, there's more irony to be mined from the metaphoric Dream. After the harsh economic wake-up, we can look back and see that this was not a regular dream; this one was engineered. It turns out the USA is built on numerous popular delusions; call them dreams, if you will. It starts right from the beginning, with the mythology of the founding fathers. Most Americans, of whatever persuasion, believe their country was established by fine, Christian gentlemen who drafted and signed the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. In fact, all but two of the signatories were Freemasons, and Washington, Paine, and Franklin (among others, probably) were also Deists.

Now, Freemasons and Deists may believe in a 'god;' but it's certainly not the God of the Christian Bible. Their allegiance is to another god, one who opposes many of the principles found in the Bible. Their idea in establishing the USA was that it was to become, not the new Jerusalem, but the New Atlantis (or, in some sense, the New Babylon). The idea that the US is a Christian nation was simply part of that Dream, a part that was useful for a while, but that is now rapidly being deconstructed.

Another disposable part of the American Dream is the notion that this country has the ultimate, finest form of government on the planet. Other countries are ridden with corrupt and incompetent governments, but the USA enjoys freedom and democracy. (Wave the flag, here, you patriots!) The reality is dismally opposite this delusion. The US governance model is possibly the most corrupt in the world. Of course, the corrupt officials and the corrupt lobbyists all wear expensive suits, and speak with great assurance, in front of corrupt reporters working for corrupt news organizations. The whole US body politic is diseased from head to foot.

What else could one expect from the inherently flawed structure? Unlike most parliamentary systems, in the US republic, the various government departments (Health, Transportation, Defense, etc.) are under the authority of unelected officials who are appointed by the president. He can appoint anyone he can negotiate thru congressional hearings. And who are these 'secretaries' (as they are, curiously, called)? Why, they are typically CEOs from the very industries that they are now going to be regulating. And where do they go when they get 'retired' by the next administration? Why, back to the companies they were previously regulating. How convenient is that? What could possibly go wrong?

With the removal of spending restrictions on election campaigns, the door is wide open for abuse of the political system. Obviously, those with substantial financial resources will have a distinct advantage. Well, you figure, those with less money can solicit funds from supporters. Right; and donated funds always come with explicit or implicit strings attached. Once elected, the politician is now beholden to various interests who expect to get some benefits in return for their 'investment.'

In the 2012 presidential election, it is reported that each candidate spent in the ball-park of one billion dollars. This is insanity in the eyes of the rest of the world! No-one is going to spend a billion dollars of his own to run a campaign he might lose. So, the victor gets the presidency, and now has to please his big benefactors with legislation and perks commensurate with their generosity. But, they all wear expensive suits and speak eloquently about democracy in the greatest country on Earth. The 'beacon on a hill,' etc., etc. Essential buzz-phrases of the American Dream!

Despite the apparent awakening of thousands of 'Occupy' protesters in cities across the US, I wonder how many of them still subscribe to the malarky that the USA is the greatest democracy on Earth, and the epitome of human civilization? There are some beliefs that are just too ingrained in the psyche, having been insinuated there from the cradle to adulthood by brain-washed parents, teachers, pastors, and pundits.

The release of the 'Matrix' movie series has supplied new insight into the American Dream. An astute movie-viewer can see how the Matrix is an allegory for the mass delusions that keep a society enthralled and imprisoned. More particularly, how the USA is really a 'Matrix-nation,' built on a mythological past, sustained by the Oz-like illusions conjured up by the mass media who are the corporate hand-maids of the ruling plutocracy.

One suspects that, at some deep level, most Americans are dimly aware of their delusional dream state of existence. Yet a number of psychological factors combine to make most of the dreamers want to sustain the illusions, to remain in blissful slumber. Reversing Shakespeare, their fear is 'to awake, perchance to see reality.' Thus, sometime in the past few decades, the American Dream reached self-sustaining status.

However, just as every sleeper must eventually awaken, just as the only escape from a life-threatening nightmare is to wake up, so too, the American public is already being shaken from its increasingly fitful sleep, and it's not pleasant. While Hollywood rehashes old glory days, and the TV studios pump out mindless game-shows and artificial 'reality' shows, the truth on the ground is starting to seep into somnambulistic minds. Another neighbor desperately watches unemployment insurance benefits dwindle; another Iraq war vet takes his life; another family is sleeping in an old van; the cops needlessly beat and arrest another innocent citizen. And so it goes, every day incrementally worse than the day before. The all-American Dream is a full-blown nightmare.

The Mockery of Democracy

As this global theatre of the absurd rapidly reveals its true nature, it's apparent that we live in a veritable, giant 'matrix' of illusion spun by our traitorous overlords.
One of the most insidious fantasies for those living in the 'Western' world, is that we are governed by a system called democracy...
touted as the ultimate in guarding individual freedom. My contention is that our democracy is a huge farce-- we have, in fact, little meaningful freedom.

Sure, we have the freedom to vote; to elect members to a parliament of some sort, once every four years or so. Big deal! When you consider the choices on the ballots, it's usually a lost cause. Most elections come down to two candidates-- 'A' or 'B.' Take your choice, you lucky electors; they are both two sides of the same coin. Most countries are locked in this modern face-off between 'left' and 'right', supposedly opposing ends of the political spectrum.

Whichever party wins, you'll get four years of unending corruption. If there's a change in party, then the new-comers will inevitably 'clean house,' as they call it-- fire civil servants appointed by their predecessors, and replace them with their own cronies and benefactors. Of course, this is very costly, in terms of legal compensation to those fired, and in lost expertise. If the previous incumbents win, then they have another term to simply entrench their patronage and other back-room dealings. This process explains why and how governments always expand, and why they are typically 'top heavy' (with more 'chiefs than indians,' relatively).

Even the notion of 'winning' an election is fraught with conceptual problems. In many places, the winner is the 'first past the post,' i.e. the candidate (or party) that gets 50% plus 1 of the valid votes cast. If the votes are tallied by hand, it's very likely that mistakes will be made; and in a tight race, the errors can be enough to swing the vote to either candidate. This fact has been demonstrated time and again by 'official re-counts.' If the votes are tallied by machine, there are still opportunities for errors-- OCR errors, technical glitches, etc.-- as well as for malicious meddling, when software is involved. (Anyone remember Bush's wins in 2000 and 2004?).

Moreover, in the 50% + 1 system, whenever there are more than two candidates, there's a strong chance that the winner will actually poll fewer than half the votes (i.e. the other two parties may total more than 50%, but neither exceeds the third party). In that case, how 'representative' of the populace is the winner, really?

All of the above problems would be mere annoyances if, overall, we truly enjoyed democratic governments. But, sadly, we don't. Once elected, governments behave as dictatorships. The only thing distinguishing them from dictatorial regimes is that there are elections, regularly. Not surprisingly, oftentimes, the best governments are minority governments (i.e. where the ruling party has garnered only enough seats to officially win, but must have some support from at least one opposing party to pass legislation).

You might disagree that elected governments are despotic, but the state of our 'democracies' demonstrates otherwise. Over the past half-century, our democratic governments have shoved numerous bits of social engineering legislation down our throats, despite serious, often prolonged objection from even a majority of the governed. Generally, the social engineers like to use the media to soften up public opinion in preparation for 'progressive' legislation. But when that seems to be taking too long, they simply ram the required laws thru the parliamentary system, and rely on the police to enforce it.

So it is, that Western countries got an industrial chemical (flouride) in our drinking water; abortion-on-demand; gay 'marriage;' restrictions on free speech packaged as 'anti-hate' legislation; atomic energy plants before the waste-disposal problem was solved; involvement in countless wars despite the lack of any clear threats; expenditure of a huge portion of GDP on useless armaments; the erosion of workers' rights; an insane system of 'sick-care' that pretends to be a health-care system; protection for environmentally unsound resource extraction industries; and... I could go on.

You see where this is going. Whether you support some of the policies I cite or not, the fact is that most of these measures were introduced in the face of heavy popular opposition. How is that 'democratic?' Either it's the 'will of the majority,' or it's imposed from on high.

Leveraging the hyped threat of 'terrorism,' governments have in the past decade clamped ever-tighter restrictions on the rights and freedoms of their populations. There's nothing democratic about that. What it's done is make 'Western democracy' look an aweful lot like the former Soviet-style authoritarianism that our governments railed against. To cement the similarity, our governments have, apparently, given free rein to our police agencies, so that they now behave much as the old Gestapo and Stasi did, assuming everyone is guilty until proven innocent.

In our so-called democracies, the real power is held by big-business. Just as warned by Eisenhauer in the 1950s, our policies are drafted by the 'military-industrial complex.' While this has been obvious in the USA for decades, it was not so apparent in other Western countries until the military mis-adventures of the 1990s and 2000s proved that all the Euro-western nations marched to the same beat. As publicly admitted by Maj-gen. Smedley Butler, back in the 1930s, the military forces are merely the enforcers for the multi-national corporations that desire free access to the wealth of 'third-world' nations. 'Free access' meaning unfettered by such inconveniences as human rights, equitable compensation, environmental concern, and the wishes of the local populations.

Clearly, the much-vaunted democracy of Western civilization is a shallow parody that bears only the most superficial resemblance to genuine government 'of, for, and by' the people. It has taken diligent effort on the part of our rulers to maintain the illusion, but in today's climate of disintegration of our institutions (health, education, industry, etc.) the true picture is becoming starkly obvious-- this democracy is nothing but a mockery.

False Flags Unveiled

With the Boston Marathon bombing still fresh in the public consciousness, and before that, the Sandy Hook shooting, the 'alternative press' is awash with references to 'false-flag' terrorism. A recent article on a blog [1] defined what constitutes a 'false flag attack,' and how it differs from a 'psy-op,' and how the two work together to condition the public. While it provides useful insight, I realized that...
what is also needed is a guide for people to be able to discern when an 'event' is a genuine 'terrorist attack' or another false-flag, staged event. Toward that objective, let's consider the distinguishing marks of a typical false-flag incident-- ten indicators that will tell you when an 'official explanation' doesn't pass the 'smell test.'

1. 'Drill for the drill' – one feature of false-flag attacks that comes up, time after time, is the occurrence of a 'practice exercise' by the police, or military, or security forces, on the very day, time and place of the purported incident.
You can go back to the ultimate false-flag of the 21st century, the attacks on NYC and DC on 9-11-01, and everyone knows that the CIA was having a 'drill' that day that just so happened to center around the scenario of high-jacked airliners being used to crash into buildings...while NORAD was also having a training exercise involving airborne attacks. How about that for all you 'coincidence theorists?'
Again, in London, on 7-7-05, security forces just happened to be conducting an exercise that envisioned a bombing in the underground and on the bus system. Gee-- how close to 'reality' could they have guessed?
Similarly, some kind of drill was conducted during the Boston Marathon bombing, as verified by eye-witness accounts. In this case, the authorities have denied that an exercise was under way, despite the evidence.
The idea behind these 'exercises' is that they provide convenient cover for (1) the presence of various government agents/troops/etc., (2) the excuse of confusion when people question why all the security measures failed, (3) a pretext for framing suitable 'patsies.' Many netizens have caught on to this ruse, and are spreading the word before the next staged drama.

2. Consider the date – Yes, the numbers that make up the date of the incident. Note that so many past incidents occurred on dates with curious number sequences-- e.g. 9-11 (9+1+1=11), 7-7-2005 (2+5=7), 3-11-04 (Madrid train bombs), 3-13-03 (Mumbai train bombings), 26-11-08 (Mumbai terrorist attacks), and so on it goes.
To a newcomer to the world of government terror, this will sound too esoteric to be real. But, put aside the doubts long enough to investigate, and you come to see the weird patterns. The fact is that the people who orchestrate these attacks are deeply connected with the occult or demonic realm. They really believe that certain numbers enhance the power of their 'majick tricks.' (If you don't believe me, just 'dial 911.')
You have to know that 7 and 11 are favorite occult numbers, but 8, 9 and 13 are also evident, depending on other 'mystical clues.' It's bizarre... but it applies.

3. The 'black-ops' connections – A common feature of many of the terrorist attacks-- whether failed or successful-- is the connection with government undercover operatives.
In very many cases, the fingered suspect(s) is/are revealed as being handled by the FBI, or the CIA, or MI5, the RCMP, or whatever. The story goes that these organizations were 'keeping a watchful eye' on these 'subversives.' If you really pay attention, you'll see that really, the gov't handlers were luring gullible young idealists into planning potential crimes, and often setting them up to be caught, either before or after carrying out the supplied plan. If 'before,' then the agency claims a successful interception of terrorist acts; if 'after,' they lament that their patsy was somehow able to elude them.
The Tsarnaev brothers are classic (and tragic) examples. Except in their case, there is reason to suspect that the CIA was using them to infiltrate overseas organizations, and then double-crossed the pair to take the rap for the Boston bombs.

4. Pay attention to on-site reports – As underscored in the above-cited article, the media are full, essential partners in pulling off a false-flag event, so don't expect to hear the truth from them... except by accident.
Often, the earliest reports from the scene will include correct details that are damning to the official story-line. These inadvertent 'slips' are invariably quickly removed and disappear down the proverbial black hole, never to be reported again. This happens in most FF operations because they are too complex to have every possible detail covered by the conspirators. If you noted a particular detail-- especially one that strikes a strange note-- and it later is never mentioned again, that's a clue to a 'FF op.'
Thanks to the Internet-- and alert netizens-- most of these slips are captured by someone and are available if you search for them. Good example: early on 9-11, a network reporter covering the scene from a helicopter noticed the explosion that rocked the second tower, but he made no mention whatever of an airliner! 'Bet you never heard that one, except maybe on Youtube.

5. Keep track of the story-line – As FF ops unfold, the official narrative will change and twist in a myriad of directions; contradictions will abound, even on the network propaganda organs.
At the Sandy Hook 'shootings,' the police were saying that the children were killed by hand-gun fire, while the coroner, in a rambling interview, stated that a long-gun was used. At the Boston Marathon event, spectators' videos showed numerous security agents behaving oddly, while network video was all about the supposed terrorists. The police claimed Tamerlan was run over by his brother's SUV, while on-lookers stated it was the cops' vehicle.
The inconsistencies are rampant in these events, and it takes days, sometimes weeks, for the media to get the official story-line 'correct' (i.e. 'straight'). And, yes, it's not unusual for there to be confusion during a 'terrorist' attack; however, the blatant contradictions that distinguish a FF op go beyond the expected norm. These are details that ought to be known right away, and should not confound common knowledge, or common sense. The FBI should know whether the Tsarnaev brothers were on their payroll (which they were) or not-- the story should not change from one day to the next!

6. Does the official 'explanation' make sense? - Now, there's a good criterion. Consider the famous, Christmas, underwear bomber incident that resulted in every air traveller now having his/her privates inspected by 'security officers.' An African from Nigeria (near the equator) travelling from Holland to Detroit-- both cities in the cold northern hemisphere in December-- and he's not wearing anything more than summer attire, carries no baggage, and has no passport or boarding pass... yet he gets on the plane with a bomb in his gotch. Come on, people-- this story is prima-facie ludicrous! It would never have fooled a 9-year old, but for the disgraceful compliance of the mass media.

7. Who gets blamed? - The whole idea of a FF op is to pin the blame on the 'donkey du jour,' the latest bogeyman that the government(s) have in their sights.
On 9-11-01, the towers had hardly collapsed when the media announced that it was done by Osama bin Laden, the scape-goat of choice. Why bin Laden? Just see what horrible sequence of events went into motion following 9-11. The invasion of Iraq, the invasion of Afghanistan, and the dozen years of bloodshed that have occurred since then. The Washington cabal needed a figurehead by whom to justify their incursions into the Middle East region, so an Arab/Muslim was just the pretext needed.
Now that the US gov is preparing for social collapse inside the realm, they need 'domestic terrorists' they can direct their dictatorial attention towards; hence, 'lone gunmen' incidents, and now, the Boston bombings.

8. Watch what is proposed next – As implied in point 7, the naming of 'suspects' will provide an indication of how the current agenda of the government can be advanced by exploiting the 'cowardly attack.'
In 2001, the PNAC group was itching for a pretext to invade the Middle East region, and to supply a new enemy for the military-industrial axis. That project continues today, with 'humanitarian concern' (oh, sure) for Syria's civilian population.
The current desire of the US gov to disarm Americans of military-grade weapons means that the threat of domestic terror must be vivid enough for the populace to go along with this scheme. Expect more such incidents across the country (and look up 'Operation Gladio' on the web for some illuminating reading).
September 11/01 was the majick show used by the PTB to begin in earnest the removal of human rights, as well as incessant wars. The ludicrous 'crotch bomber' incident was leveraged to get the federal gov to purchase 'naked, X-ray scanners' for all the major airports (from a company partly owned by Michael Chertoff, then head of DHS). Sandy Hook was used to initiate the first legislation against the 2nd Amendment right to bear arms. And on it goes.
So, listen for the ready-made memes, usually packaged in convenient words and phrases that can be repeated ad-nauseum by the media whores. You've heard them before: 'terrorists,' 'cowardly,' 'extremists,' 'al Qaeda,' Muslims, etc. etc.

9. Look for the white-wash 'investigation' – This is a major give-away that an event was staged. We've seen this sorry movie too many times already.
Perhaps the first outrageous, official white-wash was the Warren Commission investigation of the JFK assassination. Oliver Stone's movie demonstrated many of the plain crazy assertions of the official explanation, and to this day, a large portion of the populace knows that something evil happened that November day in Dallas. But since the media pretend it all makes sense, more or less, then most people shrug and forget it.
Similarly, the 'crime of the (21st) century' that occurred on 9-11-01 was given a very sorry spectacle for an official investigation. So much so, that the chief investigators themselves later admitted that their report was flawed. (They basically stated that the military lied to them).
The hallmark of these 'investigations' is that they are obviously hiding facts that 'they' (governments, generally) don't want known by the public. They need to obscure the truth because they don't want the guilty persons and agencies identified as 'insiders.'
Phoney investigations are easier to discern than the events they examine, generally. Therefore, these white-washes are a clear sign that the incident was a false-flag op.

10. Shoddy journalism rules the day – it's a given, sadly, that investigative journalism is long dead in the mainstream media. What we have now is manufactured news and disguised propaganda.
That said, during and after a FF op, the journalistic laxity will be especially egregious. The inevitable interviewed experts will all be singing from the same song-sheet. The same 'approved' videos will appear on all the major network news. The same inadvertent truths will disappear almost simultaneously from all stations. And of course, the same key-word phrases (as noted above) will be repeated like mantras on all the news-casts. None of the key, relevant questions will be addressed by any so-called journalist.

There are other, more subtle signals that an experienced observer can use to detect a false-flag operation; but for most of us, these ten indicators will provide sufficient light on a given event to make us fairly certain it was staged. You may not find all ten 'finger-prints' every time.
But if several are apparent, then surely that's enough evidence to make you doubt the official story, and do some personal searching of the 'underground press.'
