Wheels within Wheels?

We in the West are accustomed to think of time as being strictly linear, starting at the 'Big Bang,' and moving inexorably out from then. In other cultures, tho, people think of time as moving in cycles. Not necessarily in 'circles' but in cycles; think of spirals-- they go around, but also move ahead.

So what?, you may wonder. You know the saying 'what goes around comes around.' Or, those who neglect the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them! Those who study history outside the 'box' (of conventional, approved history) notice how certain themes and patterns keep repeating at the societal scale. That's the real point.
What cycle am I talking about? Over the years I have found many, and they all have some bearing on our present lives. These different cycles arise from different cultures, pertain to different viewpoints, and have quite different periods. Some were described millennia ago, others are recent discoveries. Let's briefly survey them.
By 2012, most people had heard of the Mayan calendar even if they never learned anything more about it. The Mayans, whose culture flourished for a few hundred years , had elaborate ways of tracking time, including two main calendars. One was based on a 260 day cycle, the other on a 52 year cycle. The two have often been depicted as two wheels whose gear teeth are inter-meshed. Altho the world did not end on 12-21-2012 as some expected, other people speculate that the date nevertheless had some esoteric significance that we may yet discover. Others claim that the end of the '13th baktun' (the terminal date on the long-count calendar) simply meant that the calendar would roll over to begin anew.

Another long-term reckoning of time comes from the Hindus and their system of 'yugas' (or what we'd call eras). They refer to four yugas which can be characterized in English as follows: a Golden Age, marked by high advancement in all aspects of human expression; then a Silver Age, when there is some retrenchment of achievement, but still a high level in most respects; followed by a Bronze Age, when mankind starts to show signs of more serious regression; and finally, the Iron Age-- the Kali Yuga-- which reveals full abasement of human kind, in terms of greed, selfishness, and constant warfare over material ends. The final yuga ends in global catastrophe, after which the human race starts the cycle over again.

In the late 20th century a novel theory of time was put forth by Terrance McKenna (described as 'an American psychedelic shaman') which he called the Timewave. I won't try to even summarize his arcane derivation of the graph that plotted time on the X-axis and something he called 'novelty' on the Y-axis. Apparently, novelty was his attempt to quantify significant achievements or events in the world's development. Hence, the graph displays spikes during certain time periods, and down-troughs at other times, suggestive of cyclical patterns.

By applying exotic math transformations on his data, McKenna produced a graph that simply dove to zero around the year 2012. I say around because we're still here; and other scholars found that his time scale and computations could have contained errors altho the overall concept appeared consistent. (The interested reader can find plenty of head-scratch-worthy material on the subject to peruse.)

Earlier in the last century (1920s) the Russian economist, Nicholai Kondratiev proposed a theory of economics based on a 60-year cycle, incorporating demographic analysis as well as financial factors. He identified four phases in the cycle, with the final phase being a collapse or depression, often followed by war. Applying his theory to current events, we are presently in the fourth phase, which would last until about 2020.

A popular book was published in the 1990s titled 'The Fourth Turning,' which described how whole generations exhibited specific views on life and thereby affected the zeitgeist or the tenor of the times in predictable ways. The authors identified four 'turnings' that occur as one generation passes the batons of society onto the next. The fourth turning is characterized by a tearing down of institutions and complete rebuilding... often accompanied by war. The authors postulate that we are presently in the throws of a 'fourth turning.'

Overarching all human cycles (except the Hindu yugas) there is natural cycle in the cosmic realm, which has been called the Platonic Year or Great Year, lasting 25,920 years. This is the time it takes the Earth to wobble once thru the 'precession of the equinoxes;' or, for the Earth's axis of rotation to point thru the entire zodiac, spending about 2,160 years in each of the 12 'signs' or constellations.

Various cultures believe that there are cycles of behavior as the Earth passes thru these 'ages' (e.g. the Age of Pisces is the one we have been in for about the last 2,000 years, as we move towards the Age of Aquarius). It is difficult to determine precisely where one zodiacal sign ends and the next begins; it appears to be a time of transition. Some esoteric beliefs posit that the Earth experiences a natural calamity or major turning of some kind at each quarter point of the Great Year, i.e. about every 6,500 years. Hence, the last such milestone would take us back to the sudden appearance of human civilization in Sumer. Before that point, it was the great Deluge (about 10,000 BC).

On that cosmic scale, we are due for another major 'event' of some kind, at any moment. In fact, some researchers say that the Earth's precession is now poised to return to the 'start point'-- taken as the 'great dark rift' seen in our Milky Way galaxy. Several ancient cultures point to the dark rift as the 'mother of the cosmos,' the beginning point of Earth's development. They expect momentous events as we complete the Great Year 'soon.'

Another long-term cycle some researchers refer to is the 'ELE' or extinction level event. As numerous species have gone extinct within just the last hundred years or so, they speculate that the Earth is undergoing 'The Sixth Extinction.' According to ELE theory, the 'dominant species' on the planet always dies out during one of these extinction cycles. Obviously, that does not bode well for humankind at this stage of planetary history.

Now, to tie all these cycles together (as I believe is possible) is the point of this essay. Let's suppose that most, if not all, of these cycles has validity. Notice that these cycles are not mutually exclusive, and in fact, it appears that several of them overlap or coincide. If most cycles end in 'disruption,' what can be expected when several cycles reach their conclusion at about the same time? Isn't is reasonable to expect that the result would be utter chaos?

There is one final, periodic phenomenon that I have saved for last. Like the other cycles, not everyone agrees in the existence of this one; but there's strong evidence to support it. It is the orbital period of a tenth planet, called Nibiru, or Planet X, among researchers. Nibiru is believed to have a nominal orbital period of 3,600 years, and on every passage in the inner solar system, it has triggered 'significant events' on all the planets, including Earth.

Believers in P-X say that in its last passage, it caused the series of calamities cited in the Bible as the 'Ten Plagues' that afflicted Egypt and led to the Exodus of the Israelites. Going back another 3,600 years takes us to the time when civilization burst upon the human scene in the Sumerian culture of Mesopotamia (ca 5,000 BC). Two more regressions of 3,600 years takes us to the time of the great Deluge, ca. 12,000 BC. (Frankly, I don't know what may have happened in 8,700 BC.)

Scoffers and deniers, as expected, disagree with Planet X theory and the coincidence with previous catastrophes. For those who are paying attention to global events, however, the past two decades or so have been characterized by increasing levels of various natural phenomena (see appendix, below). When you 'connect all the dots' of those natural disasters, they produce an outline that points directly to Nibiru as the underlying, common causal factor.

My theory (take it as you will) is that Nibiru is genuine, that it is drawing close to Earth's orbit, and that it will be the natural, cosmic mechanism by which the destruction expected from the major cycles (especially the Kali Yuga) will be accomplished. When will this happen? 'Soon,' is about as precise as one can get. Pay attention to the phenomena listed in the appendix; they are all pointing to a collapse or crisis of some sort.

When you think things are reaching a breaking point, then brace yourself! All we can say is that we're in the 'final count-down.' When people can actually see Nibiru in the sky, you will know that it's 'game over.'
Appendix- Global phenomena that are increasing in frequency &/or magnitude
- weather instability (it's not 'global warming;' it's due to wobble in Earth's axis)
- earthquakes (4 of the largest since 1900 have occurred in the past 15 years)
- volcanic eruptions (more eruptions have occurred in the last 2 years than in the previous 2 centuries)
- sinkholes (have been appearing in numerous places, swallowing roads, homes, vehicles, even people)
- space 'bolides' (meteors, fireballs, have been reported, with some quite spectacular ones)
- animal mass deaths (whole flocks of birds fall from skies; huge schools of fish wash up on shores)
- marine mammal beachings (pods of whales, dolphins, have mysteriously run ashore)
- mystery 'booms' (sonic blasts occur that have no obvious explanation, e.g. Aircraft)
- humming sounds (reports of 'throbbing' or humming sounds with no apparent source)
- 'Trumpets of the Apocalypse' (strange screechings have been recorded; put on Youtube)
- rogue waves, whirlpools at sea (even in relatively clear weather)
- pillars of light in the sky (have been seen and photographed in various places)

There are more 'unprecedented' phenomena, but those are the most common. Readers who are unfamiliar (&/or skeptical!) with these incidents are urged to do a little research on the Internet. Just entering the key words or the phrases in brackets in a search engine will return a myriad of news items that rarely get a mention in the big mainstream news channels.
All of these items can be explained with reference to the properties of Planet X that were recorded by the ancient Sumerians and reported by Zechariah Sitchin in his popular books.

Life in the 'Modern World'

This one table summarizes succinctly the state of the world as we find it in the middle of the second decade of the 21st century.
The big hurdle for the 'optimists' and those stuck in denial is to acknowledge that the descriptions under 'Actual' are, indeed, factual.

I won't spend a lot of effort trying to convince anyone that my assessments are accurate. If the events of this century-- and their fruits-- have not convinced you that this world is in a precarious state, then no arguments or logic will suffice. You of that ilk can stop reading and go back to watching The Matrix-- you'll enjoy it, no doubt!

What's the use of this table, other than to present the bad news in one easy format? What I hope the reader will take away is that when it's all laid out this way, surely certain questions become unavoidable. Like, how did this happen? Is it all just a sorry consequence of innate human nature? Do we just have to accept this condition and learn to abuse it for our own gain? Can the human species continue to live this way on a limited planet?

As someone who has pondered those kinds of questions for decades, I have some opinions about them I'd like to share. First, when every institution of society has become infected with the viruses of corruption (in the guise of greed, covetousness, envy, contention, etc.) then it cannot be dismissed as coincidental or random chance. No, clearly something is happening at a fundamental level resulting in this tendency for all human organizations to collapse on themselves.

The situation is akin to other fundamental features of (at least) 'Western' society, such as, notably, the enduring myth of romantic love. We all want to believe it exists, and that we can partake in it. Yet the divorce statistics demonstrate just how elusive the story of 'love for life' really is. Likewise, we are trapped in the 'organization conundrum,' wherein humans need an organizational structure in order to accomplish things, yet every organization contains the seeds of its destruction as, inevitably, internal strife develops and the original goals forgotten.

I deliberately compare organizations to romantic love because each generation comes along thinking 'we can do this!' blissfully ignoring the historical evidence that its chances of success are very slim. Church is another good example. Despite having an established Bible for guidance, church congregations regularly coalesce around some particular doctrine... and then with almost equal regularity, disintegrate into sub-groupings. This has occurred often at the denominational level, and also at the local level. (I've seen both types happen; the process is essentially the same).

There are many fault lines along which any organization can fracture. They all rest on the realities of human personality and character. We are all different at the individual level even tho we behave amazingly predictably in large groups. In organizations, the primal ego-needs for power, recognition, 'being right,' result in constant game-playing as each participant competes with the other players.

In spite of those innate challenges posed by human nature, as a species we are capable of accomplishing much, as modern technology attests. Every time you get into an automobile and drive somewhere you are realizing the end result of a process that involved a huge sum of 'man-hours' of mental and physical cooperation in the concept, design, and construction of that machine. This idea can be extended in many areas of modern life.

So-- is there more to the story of why all of our institutions have become so corrupt, today? Of course, I contend there is! But what? As I implied in my questions above, this collective rush towards the drain has not occurred strictly due to human frailty, but has been assiduously fomented over a very long time.

As indicated, altho humanity has difficulties acting in harmony, it can be done. Malevolent agencies deliberately act to introduce the virus of self-destruction into our institutions, and they do so at the highest levels. That's why the pyramid is their 'in-our-faces' symbol of their presence-- it depicts the top-down structure they use to implement their corrosive agenda. (E.g. the pyramid, with floating capstone, has been on the US dollar bill for so long that no one thinks to question why such a strange symbol should be there in the first place.)

Who are 'they' you impatiently demand? We'll get to that. The important point at this stage is that some hidden force has coordinated the moral infection of our societal pillars. If this assertion were not true, then how would you account for the facts noted in the table? That favorite excuse of 'coincidence,' again? A convenient word that explains absolutely nothing?

The engineering of the moral collapse of global society has been an ages-long process that started with installing men of base character into positions of rulership. (The adage that the scum rises to the top, is too true.) By appeals to vanity, it is easy for clever, unscrupulous advisors to steer vainglorious monarchs into a range of ruinous policies.

In a similar process, selected ideologues are, over time, insinuated in the high-level, advisory positions of every important institution. We have been watching that process unfold in the field of education, for several decades. Some experts come along touting the benefits of some new educational ideology, using some concocted title ('child-centric,' 'new math,' 'main-streaming,' now 'common-core curriculum,' ad nauseum). As each new concept is introduced, the average scores of the affected generation of students drops a little. Once confined to academics, the latest curriculum 'advances' impose the new sexual ambiguity also being heavily promoted by the corrupt media.

Stand back and see! Once they gained control of ALL the major institutions, it became easy to coordinate any particular virus (aka concept) into the societal matrix. Hollywood and the music industry push the 'LGBTQ' agenda with full force on impressionable young people. The media take up the beat, inventing words like 'homophobia' with which to tar anyone who dares question the new agenda. The school system takes up the flag, introducing 'gay-tolerant' curriculum from KG to HS graduation. Corporations and the military introduce 'awareness seminars' to 'sensitize' their employees or troops to get with the program.

You can begin to see how hidden controllers, mostly behind the scenes, by exercising the institutional levers at their disposal, can virtually mould whole societies into conforming to new norms that may be in diametric opposition to the traditional values that brought them to the current generation.

Ideally, I would end this essay here, and leave it to the readers to do their homework and discover for themselves just who 'they' are, these secret manipulators. Yet I can also foresee that many will dismiss the essence of my thesis unless I put forth a plausible expose of the culprits behind the moral corruption identified in this article. So let me make an attempt.

Given the magnitude of the phenomenon (i.e. the undermining of civilization) you must appreciate that the answer is not straightforward (at least for most minds). If anyone does a bit of Internet research on the subject, it should become quickly apparent that there's a multitude of candidates! Each investigator seems to come to a different conclusion. It's the Vatican; it's the Jesuits; it's the Bilderbergers; it's the Freemasons; it's the Jews; it's the Rosicrucians; it's.... well, I suppose you'll take your favorite theory, depending on your pre-existing prejudices (which, by human nature, we all have).

In a real sense, it is all of those shadowy organizations. All of them have been infiltrated and co-opted to contribute in some degree to the desired effect-- that being 'Ordo ab Chao' or Order out of chaos, which is also found on the great seal of the USA, hence on the dollar bill. But, in true pyramidal fashion, something at a higher level is orchestrating all of those subordinate components. Like many other researchers, I identify that higher authority as the Illuminati. By operating thru a multitude of enigmatic arms, they keep their existence a mystery, and confusing to any casual attempt to penetrate the issue.

At the operational level, the primary means by which the Illuminati have been so successful is by the invention and imposition of money as debt. Briefly, instead of money as a value instrument, they imposed money as an IOU owed to their agents, the Zionist-run banking system that controls the economy of virtually every nation.

If you were thinking as you read the above text, you wondered how 'they' were able to place their ideological agents into positions of influence in all the major institutions. Now you know! It is thru the black magic of 'fiat money' (debt created by the say-so of the bankers). If you do your homework, you discover that this is how they exercised control over all the sovereigns of Europe, beginning in the 18th century (and continuing to the present).

In 1913, the US government passed the Federal Reserve Act, giving control of the US central bank (hence, economy) to the Zionist bankers, and the stranglehold over all institutions began in earnest. Yes, money buys anything in this sorry world. The hidden manipulators use vast wealth to buy universities, establish faculty chairs, confer donations on selected recipients, and so on. In this manner, they create and foster the ideas they want promoted.

Once the institutions of 'higher learning,' the ivory towers of expert knowledge have been infused with the doctrines of destruction, the tenets of the de-facto ruling cabal, they can influence all of society. We've seen the economic ideas of the 'Chicago school' (aka Straussian doctrine) become the dominant paradigm. We've seen liberal sexual ethics (i.e. the gay agenda) become the new norm, thanks also to the tyranny of 'political correctness' emanating from the universities and promoted relentlessly by the captive media.

That's how all kinds of crazy ideas proceed from obvious nonsense to the accepted orthodoxy. Make the lies big... and keep repeating them, especially by public figures. It worked in the 1930s in Germany; it's working today in the Western world.

October 13, 2015

Hello-- Wake-up Time!

Like the majority of the Western world, I was raised with a set of implicit and explicit beliefs-- background presumptions of how the world works and what must be reality. In particular, there were certain beliefs about the United States that were supposed to be almost self-evident. That nation was the bastion of freedom and democracy, the protector of decency, the center of knowledge, and of all things desirable. That brief description sounds overblown today, yet for much of my life (the post WW2 age) those accolades were the mantle worn proudly by, not just official US gov't institutions, but by almost all Americans.

So proudly did they identify with those perceptions that less unctuous descriptors came to be added to Americans, such as arrogant, ignorant, and so on. But overall, the USA was acknowledged, if grudgingly at times, as the leader of the civilized world. Fifteen years into the third millennium, and that reputation is a shambles, both within and outside the country.

Nevertheless, there are still many souls who recognize how the US has fallen into disarray, yet they cling to the comforting myths of old, the perceptions of their youth, that, with the right president, things will return to their prior Elysian state. The dreamers figure that, despite its problems, they must still prefer the US stance over any other because the others are even worse. After all, that's what they've told us all our lives, right?

When I try to explain how the 'new world order' of the 21st century is really upside-down, and that the USA is no longer the White Knight, most of my hearers resist strenuously. This cannot be! Our media news outlets tell us so, don't they? It's 'them' that are the trouble-makers in the world-- Muslim extremists, Palestinians, Libyans, Syrians, and now, back in the spotlight, the Russians. It can't be the Americans; no never!

Well, come on readers; take a deep breath and examine the record, even the highly biased record presented by those mega-news broadcasters. I first became suspicious of the USG's image back in the 1980s, when Reagan was president. There was still a semblance of journalism in those days. When the 'Iran-Contra affair' hit the news, it became clear that the CIA was involved in dirty dealing, especially in Central America, where they were arming and training 'rebels' who were engaged in overthrowing elected governments who committed the unpardonable sin of being socialist.

We were supposed to believe that dirty tricks were essential in combatting the horrors of Communism that was creeping stealthily around the world. A training center in the bastion of democracy taught insurgents how to torture, murder, and intimidate populations of innocent peasants and force them to join the insurrections against their elected governments. (See history of Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador). But this use of taxpayers' funds was fully justified by that imperative to eradicate Communism.

In 1989 the Berlin Wall came down, and shortly after, the USSR collapsed in internal chaos. Soviet Communism was no more; the Chinese were moving towards capitalism, and the world would enjoy peace at last. Not!

Within a mere year, the US found another excuse for a good 'dust-up' with a Third-Word, CIA-concocted adversary. Remember 'Operation Dessert Storm?' Saddam Hussein was suckered into an attempt to annex Kuwait, only to be attacked by his former friend, the cop on the world beat, Uncle Sam. Of course, the Iraqi army was massacred by the horrific air power of the US. 'Ironically,' (as if) many of the troops sent to that 'theatre' (good word) came home with 'Gulf War syndrome,' which is undeniably sustained by the statistics or anecdotes, but which was never explained by the experts. Of the many theories advanced, the one that makes most sense to me is the use of depleted uranium munitions-- a sword that cuts both ways, if you follow the image of radioactive dust blowin' in the wind.

People hadn't even forgotten the macabre photos of flash-burnt Iraqi soldiers' corpses staring out of empty sockets, when the US found itself meddling in another war. This time, they dragged their NATO allies, full bore, into the fray. So it wasn't a US war; no, it was a NATO intervention, if you please, into the fragmentation of Yugoslavia. This one became so complicated, with so many players, along so many crossed lines, that I gave up trying to understand it. Surely, NATO was wearing the white hats, stomping on the bad guys, and dragging their leaders to the International Criminal Court (which the US has adamantly refused to join... I wonder why).

Okay, that takes us to the late 1990s. As a side-show, we had the UN 'peace-keepers' (go ahead-- laugh) ordered to stand down and watch in Rwanda as Tutsi and Hou-tou neighbors killed each other in great masses, using handy tools like machetes and the like. In Yugoslavia, intervention 'to minimize civilian casualties' was imperative. In Africa, it was expedient to sit by and watch the bloodshed; go figure!

But wait; the 20th century wasn't over; there was more action to come. There was some kind of civil war going on in the horn of Africa, and the USA just couldn't resist a good fight. American forces got involved in Somalia, for God alone knows what reason, and with God alone knows what final result. But, when you've got a military machine that big, you've got to keep it functioning somewhere.

That takes us to the turn of the century. The hopes many had harbored for a new age of reason were dashed almost immediately with the 'terrorist attacks' on New York and DC. Like everyone over a certain age, I remember that day very well. I remember thinking 'this is beyond weird; it doesn't make sense!' By then, I was getting adept at finding info on the Internet, and began studying the 9-11 scenario. Obviously, the official stories (which often morphed) made no sense, yet we saw it happen on live TV. I knew that the USG itself must have been complicit; it was a question of how.

By now, 14 years later, many facts have emerged from the froth. I won't pursue that line here. My concern is what happened in the aftermath of 9-11. We were told by the media that 15 of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia-- so the obvious response of Uncle Sam is to invade... Afghanistan, one of the poorest nations on Earth! And they've been raising hell there, ever since. After the first year, they completely forgot about bin Laden, so involved had they become in causing turmoil all over that country, not to forget getting the poppy farming up and running after the Taliban had shut it down.

George Bush junior seemed bent on pursuing business left unfinished by his daddy, so we were subjected to the disgraceful charade of Colin Powell at the UN, presenting cooked-up 'proof' of weapons of mass destruction being constructed in Iraq. No option but to invade another sovereign, puny nation, in Gulf War No. 2. More 'shock and awe,' more military and civilian deaths, more mayhem. And for what?

Come on, people! Am I the only one to smell the stench of con-job? And it never ends. Regardless of the fact that the US didn't 'win' anything in Iraq, didn't defeat anyone in Afghanistan, hasn't installed a credible government anywhere, hasn't made any friends among the developing nations... nonetheless, they want to continue invading countries that don't fall into line with their insane ambitions. Is that not crazy, or what? (So far, I hadn't mentioned Vietnam, which everyone expected, would have taught the USG something!)

Instead of barging into countries full-on, the USG has been using a slightly more subtle approach. To get rid of the uncooperative Gaddafi in Libya, the USG sent in their NATO stooges, giving France, Britain, and Canada the chance to bray about saving democracy and curbing terrorists, blah-blah.

In Syria, there was another uncooperative leader that had to go, to make the country safe for corporate cronies. This time, the USG leaned on their Saudi friends to put some money into funding a nice rebellion in Syria. There are religious reasons why the Saudis went along with the suggestion, and all hell broke out in that region. But, since that plan had obviously stalled and Assad was even prevailing, they had to escalate the fighting. Out of nowhere, there suddenly appeared something we called 'ISIS,' and they call the Islamic Caliphate. If Al Queda were 'bad,' these people are extremely bad. And they sprung up, trained, armed, and bellicose, overnight... think about that, folks.

All the while, altho Americans are getting uneasy about these wars and their loss of international respect, they seem resigned to looking on the bright side. The media tell them that somehow these wars are protecting America from terrorists; and secondly, in an economy that is suffering huge unemployment, the army provides an obvious opportunity for jobless young people. That's why, btw, nobody in the US talks about a draft-- it's not necessary.

If utter bedlam in the Middle East were not enough, the USG found another venue to exercise its idiocy. Altho an attempt had failed in 2004 to overthrow the government of the Ukraine, the USG shadow agencies-- 'democracy-promoting NGOs' funded by neo-con billionaire George Soros-- continued the game. By leveraging enough money, the USG created enough turmoil to send the democratically elected president, Yanukovich, packing to Moscow. Installing hand-picked puppets, the USG was ready to recognize a new regime and start sending 'aid' (i.e. military bases).

Naturally, Russia could not just stand by and watch this blatant annexation take place on their very door-step. The Russians swiftly arranged a vote in Crimea, which saw the populace opt to re-join Russia, as they had been part of Russia for centuries. In response, the USG used its economic muscle to impose trade sanctions on Russia-- a policy that was more damaging to the sanctioners than the sanctionee.

Now, all we hear in our media is how Russia has territorial ambitions, is trying to revive the Soviet Union, wants to absorb Ukraine, and so on and on. And, incredibly, a majority in the West seem to believe this baloney!

The take-away from all the above is this: since the end of the USSR, there have been ongoing wars around the world (primarily in the ME) and the common factor in all those conflicts is the presence of the USA (&/or its proxies, of which there are many). It's as if Uncle Sam is addicted to violence-- (small wonder, given the TV programs being produced and watched).

Russia and China, the only conceivable rivals to the American Empire, have been content to mind their business over those war-ravaged years. If they have built up their military abilities it's been in concern over the unending territorial ambitions of the 'world policeman.'

Another significant fact that has gone unnoticed by the vast masses in the West is the shift in US military policy. Using the Hollywood premise of 'pre-crime' prevention (from 'Minority Report') the USG feels quite justified in invading or replacing any foreign government that they think might pose a threat in some way. That seems to have been their reasoning in their treatment of those unfortunate ME countries... altho cynics can point to an array of other reasons involving access to crude oil, pipelines, fulfilling Israeli ambitions, and so on.

It's one thing for the mighty US military to go beat up some poverty-stricken, Third-World backwater; it's quite another to consider attacking a country like China, Russia, or even Iran. If, God forbid, the crazies in DC were prepared to attack those countries, they would expect to do so with an unannounced 'first strike.' Those countries know that; therefore they too must be prepared at any time to strike the USA if it appears that they may be attacked. It's a recipe for disaster.

If, after the obvious US-backed overthrow of the elected regime of Ukraine, many Americans still did not understand the evil game of the USG, we have the illustrative situation in Syria. With their bold move to respond vigorously to the invitation from the legitimate government of Syria, Russia is making clear the utter hypocrisy and illegitimacy of the US interference in that region.

While the USG gave itself the right to depose a legal head of government (Bashar al Assad), they cry bloody murder at the Russians for supporting him! While the US air force flies at will over Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, they scream in outrage about Russian jets straying close to those same borders. After a couple years of futile bombing of ISIS forces, 'accidentally' dropping munitions and supplies to those 'brutal terrorists,' the USG now cries foul that effective Russian actions against ISIS are somehow 'complicating the situation!' You bet they are, if you're just pretending to fight the very insurgents you helped train, arm, and fund!

Surely to goodness the point ought to be crystal clear to all but the dullest of onlookers-- the US government and its proxies have been causing havoc in the world for decades, all the while pretending to be 'supporting democracy' and 'fighting terrorists.' It's a travesty of immense proportions.

And-- notice carefully-- none of my observations or conclusions required referring to 'alternative' news sources (or 'conspiracy sources' if you still believe the mainstream). No; it's all quite self-evident, and becoming more so, all the time. You just have to use a minimum of insight and common-sense!

So, dear readers, it's high time to face the fact that Santa Claus is a fraud, the Tooth Fairy a myth, and the benevolent US government a monumental hoax. Please, grow up; wake up, and see reality!

Time, existence, legalism, God

Time, existence, legalism, God-- a curious mix of ideas, yet to me, all are related.
Despite speculation from antiquity and analysis by modern scientists, we still don't know what time really is. We experience it as the one thing utterly beyond the control of anyone, no matter how rich or intelligent. The great leveller, time passes for each individual equally. Sure, we can experience it as passing slower or faster, subjectively; but our objective measurements assure us of time's impartiality.

Some people may have the ability to 'see' into the past or the future; but they themselves are still stuck in the intractable present moment of the inexorable tide of time. In a sense, time is the fabric of reality, the substrate of all that exists. Each individual appears in existence at a moment in time, and is thereafter swept along in its relentless current, until that final moment when that life ends.

The Biblical psalmist gave the average human life 'three score and ten' years (70), and in all the centuries, it's still a good estimate for the typical person. In the vastness of eternity, 70 years is barely a blip. So, what's the point, then, of such a brief existence? It's a question that rarely occurs to anyone during the 'prime' of life, but becomes much more nagging in our latter years.

Those thinkers with a sense of humor and language have noted that 'the present is a gift'... thus, to be used wisely. Time-- the resource we all share in common-- is the classroom, the learning opportunity, the training ground for souls. Think of it-- the whole concept of 'development' (evolution, if you're of that mind-set) of both species and individuals, can only occur within the context of time.

For humans, we are born with only a sophisticated 'processor' constantly monitoring the external world. Our 'hard drive' (memory) contains only the sensory inputs of those months in the womb. We spend the duration of our life absorbing new 'information,' both sensory and cerebral data. Each new item of 'data' is filtered thru a gateway constructed by a lifetime of personal experiences we call perception.

That brings us to legality. Spiritual (or 'personal' if you prefer) development requires other people. A guru meditating on a remote mountain, or a castaway on a deserted island cannot undergo much development in isolation. It's by existing with other souls that we are compelled to grow spiritually. And as soon as there are two or more people, we need an understanding of how to behave-- i.e. rules, laws.

Rules and laws become ensconced in traditions and religions. People of similar conventions cluster together in groups that evolved into kingdoms and nations. Legal structures were instituted; governments of various flavors developed in different countries. Today, governments spend most of their time inventing and codifying new laws... truly a chilling thought.

Among religions, some are more legalistic than others; but they all have their 'expectations' of their adherents. One thing that makes 'fundamentalists' of any faiths similar is their belief that a supreme deity is scrutinizing every person on Earth to see if they are following the rules, and to punish them if they're not. Muslims and Christians (as they've come to be) in particular seem prone to this harshly patriarchic outlook on religion.

Yet Jesus spent his short ministry on Earth trying to get people to see God as their 'heavenly father,' not a mean-spirited dictator, but a kind-hearted parental figure. As he pointed out in his sermons, if we fallible, human parents know that children cannot be expected to have full adult knowledge and behavior, then why should we believe that God is out to condemn us spiritual learners for every little misdemeanor?

That's the point of all this, the reason we exist in this temporal plane-- to learn! You don't learn in one dazzling instant (altho we may gain certain insights in this fashion, along the way). It's a process, based on experience. Process necessarily entails the passage of time. Experience implies trial and error; discovering what 'works' (brings order, harmony) and what doesn't (creates disharmony).

While all living things have a degree of consciousness (and some even say that non-living matter also does), it is humans that have fully self-reflective consciousness. We know that we know. Those who stop and ponder it must conclude that consciousness is a miracle. We take it for granted because it's our very nature... 'cogito ergo sum,' as Descartes put it.

Like time, tho, consciousness is elusive of determining exactly. What is it? How does it work? Does it survive physical death? We don't have definitive, provable answers. To atheists who deny anything beyond the material, apparent world, I say that consciousness is too wonderful to exist in futility!

That brings us full circle, so to say. Our existence takes place in the ineffable background of time, which exists to enable our soul development from self-absorbed self-awareness to the ultimate realization that we, all of us, are connected to a greater reality. Isn't that miraculous, or what?

What's at the End of the Rainbow?

On June 26, 2015, the US Supreme Court made its ruling requiring same-sex 'marriage' in all the states. The reaction from the public was stunning. Almost instantly, Facebook was full of gushing accolades from a spectrum of 'friends,' many of whom superimposed a 'rainbow' of color over their usual F/b profile photo. Other social media sites were similarly filled with the general euphoria.

People, great and small, heterosexual or otherwise, even 'Christians' (if such a thing still exists) were all represented in the online celebrations. Yes, a small number, comparatively, lamented the decision, some of them even predicting great calamity on the USA for it.
But among the general populace, it was clear-- the Matrix was holding, the spell of the secret sorcerers was working as intended; people generally didn't just accept the gay marriage ruling-- they rejoiced in it!

Obviously, I'm among the minority who were less than thrilled by this latest sleight of hand by those who are re-engineering society in every respect. To make that statement immediately triggers the automatic response-- a tirade of pre-defined, derogatory epithets, all designed to short-circuit any and every attempt at evoking serious thought or dialog on the subject. The great majority, confident that their numbers must affirm veracity, are certain that people like me are intolerant, ill-informed bigots who will soon be eclipsed by the inexorable progress of liberal history.

Hence, it's extremely difficult to even try to get those euphoric proponents of 'gay rights' to look beyond their 'victory' into the kind of future that it could very likely entail. These people are blind to the fact that everywhere this law has been enacted, the new 'rights' of a tiny minority have trumped the traditional rights of the majority. Business persons whose conscience does not allow them to support 'gay/lesbian marriage' by providing services to such unions, have been heavily penalized by civil authorities. Such cases (e.g. cake-decorators, pastors, hall-rentals, etc.) are well-known by now.

Those obvious cases are merely the tip of the wedge. Next, anyone who does not express homage to the LGBT+ bandwagon will be labelled a bigot (at best) and liable to be prosecuted for various, newly-generated crimes of 'hate.' For anyone whose conscience does not acknowledge gay rights, jobs may be lost, with no recourse; certain memberships may be denied; there's no telling how far this 'tail-wagging-dog' effect may go!

You who scoff at such dire predictions speak so because you're satisfied with the new status quo, but cannot, or will not, project into where this legislation can (therefore, will) lead. This wonderful new 'liberation' of society will just bring less freedom for the majority. Because this is breaking new ground-- the enshrining in law of a re-definition of an ages-old, fundamental aspect of society-- we don't know where it will lead.

But we can certainly predict, based on historical parallels, where it could lead. Because the holy Bible contains passages that clearly condemn homosexual behavior, it will very likely soon be attacked as 'hate literature.' Sounds crazy? Just wait a bit, and see how long it takes for this to happen. We thought our constitution guaranteed freedom of religion, but already that freedom has been side-lined by the new power of gay rights.

Once the scriptures come under attack by the newly invigorated 'thought-police,' the mainstream populace, who were so euphoric on June 26, 2015, will join the chorus of those who would outlaw the Bible. 'It's just time for progress,' they will assure themselves.

Once the holy writ comes under attack, it won't take long before anyone professing to be a Christian will also be denounced. How will tens of thousands of believers be prosecuted? I don't know. Perhaps Christians will be given the choice-- become an 'enlightened Christian' by recognizing and paying homage to gay rights, or else face severe censure... or worse.

The whole issue is a conundrum to begin with. First of all, marriage by definition is the union of a man and a woman. You can't come along after thousands of years and by waving a legal wand, change the meaning of marriage to encompass any two persons! Why won't the 'gay community' be satisfied to have 'civil unions' acknowledged in law? Why do they insist on high-jacking the God-given institution of (heterosexual) marriage?

I know of gay people who are happy to simply live together quietly, without demanding any special rights. Yet the leaders of these minorities are determined that they must re-define marriage to their specifications. Why? It's part of the whole re-engineering of society that is now being advanced with haste, as I've written about in another essay ('Pole Shift Under Way!'). Everything in the natural order of life is being overturned and replaced with a perverted substitute. Marriage is no exception. And it's happening with little resistance from the great majority.

The gay rights agenda is one example (and a significant one) of how the hidden social engineers operate in order to bring about their desired revisions to society. They always intertwine some good aspects with the bad (their new versions). By playing on the liberal, tolerant tendencies of the majority, they push their agenda via their dominance of the mainstream media. Under the constant 'programming' from TV 'news' and other channels, such as Hollywood 'entertainment,' the population comes to eagerly embrace the new 'improvements'.

It's all very subtle and sophisticated. The gay agenda is promoted by a 'black' president, under a heavy emphasis on 'acceptance of everyone.' Thus, to oppose one aspect is considered as opposition to all aspects-- if you don't warmly accept gays, you must also be prejudiced against blacks and, by extension, all 'visible minorities.' No wonder all those good, white, heterosexual, liberal-minded young people are so ecstatic over the Supreme Court ruling-- deep down, they know they damn well better be, or else be denounced as intolerant dinosaurs!

It's like the whole 'security' scam that has been sold as a benefit to keep everyone safe from those shadowy terrorists, who always seem to pop up just when public enthusiasm for the indignities of security screening seems to be waning. They know how to pull people's strings of fear and patriotism and tolerance, to jerk us into whatever direction they choose.

Like the Trojan Horse that was welcomed into the bosom of Troy as a great gift, the gay marriage ruling will prove to be another Dark Horse that brings disastrous consequences to society as a whole. When the secret rulers of the Western world fully close their trap of slavery, it will be thanks to people's eager embrace of those metaphorical chains.

DIY - Find the Truth!

Almost every time I burst the bubbles of comforting misinformation of people I meet, telling them we cannot trust the Western media to tell us the truth, they challenge me with the question 'How do you think you can trust the alternatives?' Or they pose related questions challenging the fact that I'm emphatic over the deceptions of the media. So, in this essay...
I want to lay out the reasons why I can be sure the Western press is lying, and how I go about determining the truth (at least, as closely as possible).
And I suppose it's necessary to go back a step and inform the reader that the communications media in the Western world are neither independent nor in the business of providing factual information. If this is heresy for you, then you really need a reality check (refer to Chomsky's 'Manufacturing Consent' for more insight on the subject). If you're younger than 30, you probably don't know that in days of yore, the media actually did 'investigative journalism,' whereby they dug below the surface of official accounts, and often uncovered malfeasance that would have escaped the legal process.

Below, I present the methods I use to discern truth from lies in the news. In using these principles, one will also be able to recognize that the 'mainstream media' have a concerted agenda to shape the beliefs and values of the public.

1. The 'news media' are not in the business you think they are!
We (in the 'West') have been conditioned from birth to believe that the media (radio, TV, newspapers, newsmagazines) must be telling us 'the facts' (ie. truth). All our authority figures-- parents, teachers, pastors, politicians-- take it as a 'given' that anything in the news can be simply assumed to be true.

Yet this assumption is highly dubious. We believe it because it's a consensus; and because in the past, prior to the Internet, all of our easily-accessed sources stated largely the same thing on any given story. During the 1990s, there was a major consolidation of the communications media so that today some 96% of news sources are owned by only 6 companies. These corporations are run by similar-thinking directors who share a common interest in shaping public perceptions. (See Chomsky, for e.g.).

You can quickly find on the Internet (Youtube, to be precise) hilarious videos showing newscasters from a dozen 'different' TV stations all repeating exactly the same words, verbatim, on a selected story, showing clearly it had to come from the same origin.

The 'MSM' (mainstream media, the handful of biggies) really act as shapers of public opinion and group-think, advancing a corporate agenda towards materialism, atheism, scientism, patriotism, paranoia, and a range of other outlooks conducive to their interests. They achieve their goals by a variety of mass psychology manipulations mostly adopted from Edward Bernays' work on propaganda.

For instance, they introduce ideas that may be outrageous at first, then by constant repetition and reinforcement, they become normalized in the public mind (case in point: homosexuality). Since the media are the gate-keepers of informaiton, they wield tremendous power merely in selecting what stories they include in what you see. For every 'fact' they let you know, there are a dozen they withhold because they could compromise the desired premise.
Similarly, every external expert (the 'talking heads') that the MSM interview in connection to a story has been vetted to ensure he/she supports the desired viewpoint. Any guest who manages to contradict the official line is summarily shouted down and cut off.

And another big weapon the MSM uses continually is distraction. There's always a juicy scandal among the celebrity class that can be trotted out and bandied in our faces for a week or so, all while something truly important is going on, under the public radar. (Think Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, the Kardashians, Miley Cyrus, the royals, etc. etc.) Do they inform us about the things that could really impact our lives, like TPP, who started ISIL, Israeli control of Congress, and on it goes?

If any of the above is 'news' to you, then, sorry, but you really need to start paying attention to how your favorite source is presenting its so-called news every day. It could be life-changing!

2. Find Alternative news sources
Once you free yourself of the notion that our media are providing truth, then you need to find other sources of information. Thanks to the Internet (so far!) it is easy to find many alternative sources of news. In fact, it's too easy! There are so many sources that some searchers throw up their hands in dismay and say 'It's impossible to determine who is presenting truth and who is not, in this babble of voices.'

That kind of dismay is a cop-out. This plethora of sources is really a benefit for anyone willing to put in a little effort towards finding truth for our times. By looking at several sources, you can notice discrepancies, find concurrences, and look for consistency. Especially when two 'antagonistic' sources agree on details, you can be more confident in the story. After a while, you will recognize the biases of the different sites, and learn which are more trustworthy on a particular subject.

3. Read The international press
Many countries have excellent English-language news websites, often publishing well-qualified, native-English-speaking writers who cannot get published in the Western press because their views are at odds with the 'party line' proclaimed by the anonymous 'powers that be.' These are sources the enquirer should be consulting for views that are not constrained by the group-think of the oligarchical Western media outlets. You will quickly discover many facts that our media are NOT telling us about the wide world out there. The glaring omissions of often important details is itself a red-flag indictment of the conniving nature of our mainstream media.

4. Use your common sense!
This is a tall order, I acknowledge, but it's essential for people today to stop letting others pre-digest and spoon-feed them their information. It's well-known by now that the Bush administration fabricated 'evidence' to justify the Iraq invasion, yet at the time, virtually all the media simply repeated it as given. If they willingly repeated lies in 2003, then why should you keep believing them today? When the official, media narrative starts morphing from one story-line to another, over time (as was glaringly the case with why the US/NATO invaded Afghanistan) then, surely, your gut instincts should start smelling a rat! Once upon a time, the press conducted investigations of stories; today they just regurgitate official pap.

Our whole education system strives to exterminate our innate common sense, replacing it with so-called science (the whore of big business) and reliance on the pronouncements of external, ivory-tower experts. Instead of following our instincts, we let authority figures define our reality-- no matter how ludicrous their suggestions. You doubt this? By now, everyone has seen the twin towers of NYC collapse at free-fall speed-- which could only happen by pre-planned demolition-- yet millions of Americans (mostly) still swallow the nonsense that it was caused by airliners crashing into the structures.

5. Exercise your memory!
Another big task. The authorities count on the fact that most people cannot remember events, especially the details, beyond a week or so. Those who recall the Vietnam War, for example, could compare it to the Iraq War, and the Afghanistan War, etc. They would notice the similarities, the futility of the whole thing, the needless deaths of soldiers, the mass deaths of innocent civilians, and the huge sums of money spent on weapons. What was the point of the Vietnam conflict? Any ideas?

Exercise of memory would make it obvious when the MSM is using its tricks; for example, they report certain details in the immediate aftermath of a 'terrorist incident,' and then the next day those details disappear, or are substantially altered, replaced by a new version of the Matrix. This happens far more often than you think. It's pure Orwell, but most people never notice.

Today we have the advantage of the Internet and computers to assist our feeble memories. When you see a curious story, often appearing on only one network, it's easy to copy the page and save it to your hard-drive (don't just bookmark the page) for future reference. When you notice the MSM flush the details down the memory-hole, you'll still have the original version.

The media like to use this memory function to their full advantage, pulling up past miscues of targetted politicians or troublesome individuals for ridicule. By the same token, they hide other information that pokes holes in their official outlook. You can't let the media supply your memories; you've got to do it yourself!

6. Ask questions!
Today, what's the point of the endless wars in the Middle East and beyond? Are we really more secure? Who really gains? As no. 5 demonstrates, it's vital for a truth-seeker to ask the hard questions. Too often, people just swallow the packaged story from the media, without reflection. If they have questions, it's far easier to put them aside with the presumption that 'they' (the experts) must have it under control, so why get too concerned. Another example: with the vast sums of money spent on a plethora of 'security agencies,' why do 'terrorists' still slip thru the net and cause chaos?... Or, are they really terrorists; couldn't these incidents be set-ups?

We have been programmed from birth to accept the dictums of remote experts and authorities whose interests may be quite opposed to ours. The fact that a news medium regards itself as the 'newspaper of note' in its field (e.g. the WSJ, the NYT, the WP) does not mean it can be trusted implicitly to deliver truth! Who owns these media outlets, who do they support politically, and what are their views on the world? That famous question, 'Cui bono?' (Who benefits?) all too often leads us back to the truth, since everything comes down to money and power in this world.

Once you become sensitized to asking questions, it's amazing to analyze the MSM interviewers doing their job. You see how selective their questions are; asking them just in the right way to encourage the answers they want. Often, the professionals avoid asking the really troublesome questions, and if they do, they are too easily satisfied with glib responses.

Again, we cannot be lackadaisical. The importance of asking questions regarding media assertions cannot be over-emphasized.

7. Look for the 'fruit,' the outcomes, the hard facts that emerge over time.
The Western media assured us of the great benefits that we'd be bringing to countries like Iraq, and Afghanistan, by invading their sovereign territory and replacing their governments with 'Western democracy.' Today, those countries lie in ruins, tens of thousands of citizens have died, similar numbers have been displaced, depleted uranium from US weapons has polluted the air, water, and human gene-pool, the infrastructure is still broken... How wonderful is that? The same media told us there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq; none were found. They tell us that the Russians are aggressively confronting NATO in 'Eastern Europe;' no hard evidence is ever presented, it's all insinuation.

They do not explain why it's fine for the US/NATO to build bases on Russia's borders while it would be denounced as an act of war if Russia were to try and build a base in Mexico or the Caribbean. The media play up 'popular uprisings' in selected countries; they do not tell us that these insurrections were financed and instigated by the likes of George Soros, using his fortune to establish phoney pro-democracy agencies.

As I write, the Western media are all against Russia and especially, Putin. They present a totally distorted view of the regime in Ukraine, never mentioning the ouster of a legally-elected president in favor of a puppet, Nazi leader installed by Western/US treachery. The media actively promote aggression against Russia as if Russia were another of the impoverished, poorly-equipped nations that were invaded and destroyed in the past century by 'Western interests.' They seem to be oblivious to the immense consequences of provoking a modern, nuclear-armed, well-equipped power that has proven, multiple times, that it will not capitulate to boorish bully-tactics.

Those are merely a few examples to illustrate how our media behave as nothing more than the Ministry of Propaganda for Western/US governments.

Orwell had it right on, even to the revision of history, and to the use of 'newspeak'-- a diminished and euphemistic vocabulary introduced to limit the range of thinking. It's all being done openly by the hidden manipulators of society using their indispensible tools-- the pervasive communications media, and the persuasive powers of 'Big Brother' authority figures who define the Reality Matrix for the mesmerized masses.

These seven principles of analyzing media should be exercised by all 'consumers of news,' every citizen, to gain the best chance of finding truth in this world of artificial reality. Only then will the populace be able to see that we are not truly free, but merely have the illusion of freedom. From that point, it's a long and winding road to true freedom. But it's a journey that everyone must begin if this race is to survive.

Pole Shift Now Under Way

For maybe 15 years the Internet has been buzzing (discreetly) about the prospect of a 'pole shift' in our near future. Just how near, no one knows. But, there are indications it has happened in the past, therefore could happen again. Some think it will merely entail a reversal of the magnetic polarity; others say it will be a catastrophic shift of the geographic axis. Who knows? But one thing is observable right now-- the human sphere has been undergoing a radical shift in moral compass for a generation... and the results appear disastrous.

From the Kolbrin:
SVB:7:18 ...It will come in the Days of Decision, when men are inflicted with spiritual blindness, when one ignorance has been replaced with another, when men walk in darkness and call it light.
SVB:7:21 Hear my voice, for I tell of things to come. [...] In those days men will be falling away from manliness and women from womanliness. It will be a time of confusion and chaos.

From the Bible:
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
[21] Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever in their own sight!

Jeremiah 4:22 “For My people are foolish, they have not known Me. They are foolish children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.” [MEV]

Orwell, '1984':
War is peace; slavery is freedom; ignorance is strength!

With astounding prescience, Orwell had it right, in a novel written more than half a century ago. Within a lifetime of the novel's release, almost everything it envisaged has come about. In particular, the inversion of our moral compass, the reversal of our values, is egregious. Using the power of the mass media combined with the exploitation of human psychology, the hidden manipulators have, in one generation, changed the moral landscape of a society. That society is the so-called Western civilization, originating in Europe and achieving its dubious epitome in America, with outposts in Australia and New Zealand.

To the extent that other societies have emulated Western civilization (e.g. Japan, India, now China, etc.) they also are experiencing an overturning of their traditional mores and values. The objective observer is amazed at how effective is the insidious and relentless attack on traditions that brought 'the West' to a pre-eminent position in terms of material success. In like fashion, the reversal of those traditional values will certainly bring material ruin in the wake of the ongoing moral ruination.

In other essays, I have written, as have a few others, on the remarkable (to us) way that the elite running society have been able to re-engineer the beliefs and perceptions of a sizable majority of the population. Things that were once forbidden to display or discuss publicly are now in our faces (e.g. quasi-nudity on TV, sex-ed in primary school, etc.). And freedoms we once took for granted are being removed under a strict regime of 'political correctness,' and where that seems inadequate, by outright legislation (e.g. any hint of criticism of Jews or Israel; mere lack of support for the 'LGBT' agenda).

People of my generation (leading edge of the 'baby-boom') feel like strangers in a strange land. Sure, many appear to be coping marvellously by simply going along with the program. Hey, why rock the boat? We have to just accept each others' differences, is their reasonable-sounding rationale, just as prompted by the media manipulators and academic savants. Yet, too often it seems that tolerance is a one-way street, and the tail now wags the dog.

It's easy to just pretend that the 'good parts'-- the new 'openness' and 'acceptance'-- make the changes all worthwhile, and ignore the 'bad parts'-- the restrictions on speech and even thought. Most people can't seem to project a trend into the future if their life depended on it. If today the government takes away a freedom from some group identified as terrorists, who's to say when they'll subtly change the definition of that group so that it now includes a wider membership... maybe people like you?

So it goes, in every sphere of life. The 'entertainment industry' is all about normalizing the perversions and transgressions so that they not only do not shock us, but they become regarded as the norm. Prime-time television these days will show almost anything, as long as it's preceded by the standard warning message that 'this program contains scenes that may be disturbing to some; viewer discretion is advised.' Of course, such messages serve more to whet the appetite of viewers who've already been pre-acclimatized by previous, less-offensive programming.

The 'history' we are taught is largely self-serving clap-trap, spinning anything resembling a fact into another component of the 'white Anglo-European' mythology of righteous wars fought by the good-guys to preserve decency and democracy from some evil dictator with designs on our precious freedoms. 'We' (actually our overlords, if we bothered to think) have memorialized our cherished lies with monuments, medals, annual ceremonies, and the like, elevating them to sacred cow status. To question these touch-stones of mythology is to invite harsh sanctions as a lunatic or a heretic.

Our environment itself is being modified by various modes of 'geo-engineering' (e.g. chem-trails, strip-mining, deforestation) whose full, cumulative effects are yet to be seen, but which impact agriculture and the ecology, and thus, our very source of food and water.

Companies like Monsanto want to replace many of our traditional sources of food with their 'bio-engineered' substitutes... without ever properly demonstrating any benefit, or doing scientific, long-term tests of the effects on human health. It seems like a madcap rush to insert artificial products in place of nature's originals.

The very essence of our humanity is now under attack by the science (so-called) in thrall to this satanic agenda. One school of technicians is madly tinkering with our DNA in the vain attempt to improve on the Creator's handiwork, but of course, under the pretext of seeking to eliminate various diseases. Another bunch is going even beyond the biological, (aptly called 'trans-humanism') wanting to integrate electronic and mechanical prostheses into the human body in pursuit of improved performance and longevity (see e.g. Kurzweil on 'the Singularity.')

Now the US Supreme Court has issued another ruling that represents a tectonic shift in the moral and legal fundaments of the USA, with their decision that all states must recognize same-sex 'marriage.'  Whether you support the ruling or not, you'd have to agree that the effect will be earth-shaking in it's reach, and represents an attempt by humans to redefine the building-block of stable society-- the family unit. It's a reversal of a bedrock tradition that dates to the beginning of our species.

The entire natural order-- the world as created by God-- is being overturned, replaced by a 'New world order,' created by the agents of Darkness. But this new, ersatz order is completely opposite to God's order, as it must be to fulfill Satan's desire to destroy the natural world. That is the true intent of the 'great work of the ages,' using a motto of one occult society enlisted in the service of Darkness. The 'order' that will ultimately emerge from the ongoing chaos of this Kali Yuga, is really total disorder, a completely artificial world in which nature is bespoilt thru environmental destruction, morality turned upside down, history is fiction, degradation is entertainment, gender distinctions are utterly blurred, and the human race becoming hybridized into some demonic aberration.

The writings of the prophet Isaiah (ch. 14) describe the aspirations of Satan, thusly: ‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High’ (vs 14). In other words, he desires to be 'like God.' But it's impossible for any created being to be equal to its creator, especially a being with a perverted nature such as Satan! What the Devil does, instead, is to overturn everything in God's creation, making it into a warped counterfeit of the perfect original.

'As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the day when the Son of Man returns.' (Matt 24:37) While full details are scarce in scripture concerning the days of Noah, it is clear that mankind was dabbling in a myriad of 'sciences' that were threatening to destroy the ecology and create monstrous variations in the human race. In short, the people of that Age were apparently engaged in much the same activities as are occurring today.

'...and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be' (vs 39). Altho clever in their own eyes, the anti-diluvian populace did not understand the deep implications of what they were doing. Nor did they understand the immanence of their destruction, despite their scientific prowess. You can interpret Biblical references according to your understanding, but to those of whatever persuasion who read the signs of the times, we are living in a seriously troubled age.

A geographic pole shift may indeed be in our near future. Regardless, we are currently in the midst of a major inversion of our whole cultural foundation; and the outcome looks frightening.

7-Year Gap is a Gaffe!

A key element of many of the 'Christian' speculations posing as prophecy today is the notion that there's going to be a seven-year period of tribulation prior to 'the rapture' of God's people. That key assumption is apparently accepted implicitly by a large number of ostensible Christians, and apparently with little serious study.
In a separate essay, I have deconstructed the lie of the secret Rapture (see footnote). But for those who may still harbor lingering doubts, I will now show that, while there will be a time of tribulation, it will NOT last seven years. The seven year hypothesis is entirely false and founded on faulty exegesis based on the bogus notes added to the Scofield Bible.
Some may feel that the truth or falsehood of these doctrines doesn't really matter as long as people believe in Jesus. Don't forget, Jesus himself stated that there will be those who say 'we prophesied in your name,' yet His reply will be 'I never knew you!' Truth matters because millions of souls are being deceived. If they believe one lie, regarding the Rapture or the seven years, then they'll believe associated lies concerning modern Israel and the Man of Sin. Ultimately, many are in danger of losing salvation if they abandon their faith in Jesus when events do not unfold as the preachers proclaimed.

Like the 'Rapture theory,' no Bible scholar in almost 2,000 years had 'discovered' (I say 'invented') the seven-year tribulation until the printing of Scofield's errant Bible in the late 19th century. Using twisted logic applied to clear scripture, certain commentators took Daniel's prophecy in ch. 9 vs 24-27 and decided that there was a 'prophetic gap' between the 69th and 70th years referred to in those verses. Their motive for this subterfuge was evidently to require that a third temple be built in Jerusalem... which implied that the Jews occupy Palestine. (Remember, this was all postulated before the 20th century and its events).

In order to demolish the gap theory, therefore, we have to get a little technical and analyze those verses. In the text (from the NASB) I have inserted my notes within square brackets.

Daniel 9:24 is a clear messianic prophecy of key importance.
“Seventy weeks [lit. ‘sevens’] have been decreed for your people and your holy city,
to finish the transgression [see Jn 19:30], to make an end of sin [Rom 3; Heb 10:14; 2Cor 5:21], to make atonement for iniquity [Jn 1:29; Rom 5; Gal 3:13], to bring in everlasting righteousness [Heb 10:10-14], to seal up vision and prophecy, [Lk 24:44] and to anoint the most holy place [Heb 9:11-12,24].”

This verse lists the spiritual mission and accomplishments of the Messiah to come. The vision provides Daniel and his people with a deadline for the Old Covenant. (Daniel lived approximately 600 years before Christ.)

Daniel 9:25 starts the 'Prophetic Clock' ticking, so to speak.
“So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah [lit. 'anointed one'] the Prince there will be seven weeks [sevens] and 62 weeks; it will be built again, with streets and moat, even in times of distress.“ [Refer to Ezra and Nehemiah; also Jn 2:20, for insights into the unfolding of this prophecy.]

Scholars generally agree that the ‘sevens’ represent periods of seven years. Hence...
7x7=49 + 7x62=434 ==> 483 years in total.
It is widely agreed that the decree was issued in 457 BC.

Daniel 9:26 describes the next destruction of Jerusalem.
“Then after the 62 weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have nothing [or 'no one'], and
the people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And its [his] end will come with a flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined [see Matt 23:38].”

Now, 457 BC + 483 years brings us to 27 AD which is about the start of Jesus’ ministry, (following his birth in ca. 3 BC). Later, in 70 AD, the Roman army under 'Prince' Titus (the first son of Emperor Vespasian) destroyed the city of Jerusalem and the temple.

Daniel 9:27 is where the confusion lies. Is it, as claimed by the false prophets, talking about a future 'Mystery Man,' whom they identify as the Antichrist? Let's read...
“And he will make a firm covenant [confirm a covenant] with the many for one week, [ie. 7 years] but in the midst of the week [ie: 3 ½ yrs later] he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate [causes horror], even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”

Dispensationalist theory is that this verse refers to a future ‘Antichrist’ who will make a deal at the start of a 7-year period of tribulation, then after 3 ½ years, abruptly prohibit ‘sacrifices’ until Jesus returns to destroy him. Altho this notion seems to have wide following, it that what the verse really states?

I say that Daniel 9:27 is really referring to the Messiah! Let's go back for another look.
“And he [Messiah, carrying on from vs 26] will make a firm ['final; eternal'] covenant with ‘the many’ [i.e. Mankind; see Mk 14:24; Rom 5:19] for one [more] week, [ie. 7 yrs] but in the midst of the week [after Jesus' 3 ½ yrs ministry] he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering, [Matt 27:51; Heb 10:6-9] and [then] on the wing of abominations will come [another] one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed [prophesied], is poured out on the one who makes desolate.”

Clearly, this text is talking of two different persons-- Messiah versus the ‘one who makes desolate;’ NOT one ‘anti-Christ’! For those who know scripture, 'the many' is used in the sense of everyone, per the supplied references. It was Christ who confirmed the eternal covenant by shedding his blood at Calvary. Moreover, it was Christ who put a stop to futile sacrifices, as demonstrated by the supernatural tearing of the curtain separating the Holy Place from the Most Holy in the temple! It symbolized graphically the end of the Old Covenant system with all of its rituals.

Followers of truth, there is NO gap between the 69th and 70th weeks of Dan 9:25. One has to wonder… where is the logic of this view, especially in view of the historical destruction of Jerusalem in 70AD that the text cites as the end of the ‘vision’!

Perhaps the best proof for rejecting the gap nonsense is found right in the gospels. In Mark 1:15, Jesus starts the 70th week, by saying: “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand.' Here, Jesus was referring to the ‘Messianic’ time prophecy of Daniel (9:24) being fulfilled by himself. In so doing, he was marking the end of the 69th ‘week’ and the beginning of the 70th week being 'at hand’, not in the distant, undetermined future!

Later, Jesus confirms the end of Daniel’s vision in his ‘Olivet Discourse’ (Matthew 24). This time, Jesus refers directly to Daniel’s Messianic vision (9:26-27).
[24:2] … “Truly I say to you, not one stone here shall be left upon another, which will not be torn down... [vs15] Therefore when you see the ‘Abomination of Desolation’ which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand) [apparently, Matthew’s inserted warning note] [vs16] then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains;”

History verifies that Jesus’ prophecy of the temple’s utter destruction was precisely fulfilled, in 70 AD. Josephus’ account indicates that the Christians, recalling and 'understanding' his words, all escaped the horror of the Romans’ attack by fleeing at the right time.

Reiterating, let's recall what happened at the crucifixion. Mark includes the seemingly odd detail that the veil in the Temple was torn apart 'from top to bottom' (Mk 15:38). This event signalled the end of the Temple system-- the Mosaic system, and the end of sacrifices and offerings (see Heb 10:8, 14, 18) as well as the virtual ‘desolation’ of the Jewish ‘house’ (Mat 23:38; 24:1-2). All this perfectly fulfilled Daniel's prophesy that “he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering … even until a complete destruction” [desolation].

The book of Acts describes the death of Stephen which signals the end of the allotted time for the Jews to complete the mission given in Daniel 9:24. Ironically, as Stephen is put on trial by the Jewish Sanhedrin (Acts 6:8 - 7:60), he presents an extensive indictment against his accusers, the religious establishment of ‘Israel.’ He outlines the history of Israel and its failures, in a summary and conclusive form. Instead of acknowledging the national sins and repenting, the leaders grow enraged and send Stephen to his death, in effect, re-affirming their condemnation and execution of Jesus. This reconfirmation of the spiritual failure of Israel signals the end of God’s mercy towards his original emissaries; the responsibility now passes to ‘another people’ (Matt 21:43).

There is no ‘gap’ between the 69th and 70th ‘weeks’ of Dan 9:25! Therefore, there is no crucial seven-year interval in authentic eschatology; it's another red herring of the deceivers.
The original ‘70 sevens’ of 9:24 cannot be arbitrarily split; there is no justification to do so.
Dan 9:27 is fully, accurately interpreted in the light of Jesus’ life and the historical record. It's a negation of Christ's mission to shift the focus to Antichrist.

A major reason for the ‘gap’ theory is a belief that the text must refer to the future of Israel. This is totally false! (See my essays on Israel). The intent of the Scofield Bible seems to have been to get Christians focussed on the Jews in the End Times as part of the rekindled (but ersatz) Zionist plot to revive an imposter Israel in Palestine. That's a whole story in itself, and there are good resources available for further research for those interested.

2) Note on the Date Calculation for Dan 9:24-27
How we arrive at Jesus’ time from Daniel’s vision
7x7=49 + 7x62=434 ==> 483 years
Of the total time, 457 years bring us to ‘1 BC’, leaving us with another 26 years to follow;
i.e. 483 - 457 = 26
The first year ‘AD’ is ‘1 AD’, since there is no ‘year zero’; so, to adjust for this scale, +26 years really brings us to 27 AD.

Babylon in Revelation

There is much speculation-- and misunderstanding-- regarding references to 'Babylon' in the book of Revelation. In particular, some pundits and denominations are emphatic that it must refer to the Roman Catholic Church (or the Vatican, the papacy). But it's too easy, too facile, to simply accept those theories, no matter how convincing a preacher may sound. Let’s get radical and see what the Bible has to say about the topic in the last ‘book,’ that of Revelation.

The first place Babylon is referenced is in ch 14:8, the 'second angel's warning:' (And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who has made all the nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her immorality.”). At that point, it is quite unclear who or what it refers to, or if the 'fall' is of a moral or physical nature. It is simply a forewarning of something momentous.

The next reference is in ch 16:19, where the text states that God remembered great Babylon and made her taste the full wrath of His fury. So, it appears that it's talking about a physical calamity (an ‘act of God’) of some kind. Since Babylon identifies a literal city, in Revelation's context it could refer to a city-- or, a city-state, as was common in biblical times.

Here is where the student of prophecy must step back and understand how this book is constructed. The whole 'book' was given to its author, John the apostle as a trance-vision which unfolds like a dream, where we know that images are symbolic in meaning. Like a dream, moreover, images may morph into different symbols from one sequence to the next. I have argued in other essays that this is a key to understanding the use of Babylon in Revelation.

The name Babylon is intended to establish in the reader's mind the evil traits associated with that ancient city-state-empire-- its connection to the occult, and pagan practices, such as child-sacrifice and idol worship. It bears noting that Peter referred to Babylon long after that city had been destroyed, making it clear that he was talking about Rome, the dominant anti-christian city-state-empire of his age (1 Peter 5:13).

In ch 17:5 we find a notorious prostitute that represents a 'great city' that is to receive God's punishment. On her forehead is written her description, which calls her Babylon, the mother of all harlots and perverts. Because punctuation had to be added later by translators, her title could also be 'Mystery Babylon' as some versions have it. Looking at all the clues in this chapter (which presents a complete 'dream-sequence') it is certain that this harlot is Not the Babylon that has fallen! The closing verses state that it's the ten 'horns' or kings that destroy this entity, and not some great 'act of God' catastrophe.

To cut to the chase, I will state my conclusion from my study of ch 17: the great harlot/city in this instance, is the corrupt, exploitive, capitalist banking system headquartered in the City of London, one of the three independent city-states that rule the masses. Her designation as Mystery Babylon is well-deserved, since the invention of 'fiat' ('let it be so') money having no basis in true wealth, and used by the banking elite to create debt slaves, is indeed a form of black magic, and can be rightly seen as demonic.

It’s in ch 18 we find the ultimate  fulfillment of the foreshadows given in 14:8 and 16:19. Here is the full description of the fall of mighty Babylon. Many significant clues as to her identity are provided in this chapter (which, again, represents a complete vision sequence ). Without repeating the proofs provided in another essay, let me state the conclusion, which by now, a number of other commentators have also reached. That is that this modern Babylon is none other than the USA! The true Christian prophets of the hour are the few that are proclaiming this awful truth for our age. Any authority that denies this fact is a false prophet and must not be believed!

Once more, I repeat one of the key concepts necessary for an understanding of Revelation-- to whit, that the symbols and sequences are purposely complex. And that purpose is to prevent easy comprehension by those with ill motives, while allowing understanding to those who function under the guidance of God's Spirit.

John uses the Babylon motif to color those End Times entities that have the ungodly characteristics associated with the ancient kingdom. Rightly discerned, the text shows us that we should not expect the title to designate one, single entity. In that light, the Book of Revelation can be seen to paint a truly accurate panorama of what is taking place before our eyes in these apocalyptic times!
